Looking at the FSM I am having trouble with the Ignition. The bottom two wires that plug in the bottom, what do they do?

Basically I'm creating a custom ignition being mine was punched out. 2 key kill switches one for fuel pump, another down the line of the Ignition itself. I took the steering wheel lock pin out, and am throwing the cylinder back in with a custom fixed key. Now the issue is those damned little wires underneith the ignition itself. What do they do?

Are you referring to the 2 wires colored - white & black/ white.
B/W goes to the interlock relay and the white goes to fuse box in the engine bay next to the battery.

Both are 12+

Yes thats them, however, I dont quite get what they do, because the ignition itself is all in that cylinder. Turn key get acesories, then turn full way = starter.

Do i need to ground these wires or just leave them alone? how do they relate?

Don't ground them unless you want sparks, killing the wire, blowing the fuse. I told you, they're 12+volts. Leave the wires alone if you don't know what you're doing. :wtf:

would you mind telling me how they relate to starting the car, thats what I'm asking. again, what do they do?

is this related to the clutch having to be pressed to start the car? Because I know how to jump it on the relay itself if thats what it is... but thats what i'm asking :P

basically i'm waiting for the real FSM. The one in your link is a) not the correct fsm, and b) has been down for about a year now. When I get the true FSM in about 2 weeks I will scan a PDF to give back to the community so people like yourself dont have to answer questions anymore. Thanks. I also know how to check for continuity and even have plenty of extra wires, fuses and 2 extra wire harness's if all screws up. :)

You could try and be more vague about it, that would help.

The wires coming off the bottom of the cylinder (red and red/blue IIRC) are just for the warning buzzer. All the main switch circuits are contained in the back of the cylinder, inside the switch.

thats what I thought, but I try to not reveal too much information to make sure I get an honnest answer.

Thanks!
