it barely gets on it at all what are some basic things to up the get-up-and-go for these engines? its a 91 240sx hatch

the better question would be, why do you have a KA24E in your 91? :mepoke:

Do yourself a favor. Dont put money into a SOHC KA. Sell/junk it quick and at least get a DOHC KA. Save up more and get a SR swapped.

or nevermind it's a 1990, but yeah i put new spark plugs new wires new air filter in it but it just feels like its lacking a lot, whats first thing? exhaust or air intake or somethin?

No.

Either slap a T3/T4 turbo on there or buy a different engine. Dont fucking ask which one to buy either. SR/KADE/RB/LS/1J/ etc..

carb it imo. thats how 510 guys gain power from these pieces.

btw, i feel your pain. i have the E still. does the job fro drifting though :)

yueah that seems pretty cool. it's hard to find a ka24De around here but can you just switch out the head and keep the block and most everything will mount up? need any new sensors gauges or anything?

i dont believe that works. do what worangejuice said.
go buy a bottle of seafoam and run it thru your brakebooster line. then it should smoke like hell and helps improve ur car a lil bit.
also if u want 2 accel. faster, take all the junk out u dont need

no you cant. completely different motors pretty much. theyre not like hondas.

I have a boosted Ka24e on 7psi that cost 1/3 of a sr swap and i will pull a stock sr all day.
