$120 as usual; food available from the NOS concession people (not free); pictures of the lot can be found on Shift-Lock.net: http://www.shift-lock.net/shiftlockforum/viewtopic.php?t=43

The course will be a new layout, so there are no pictures of it.

This is for all skill levels. We'll have multiple run groups, so you won't be run-over by advanced drivers.

We will have instructors, some of whom are professionally licensed drifters (Formula D or D1 licensed). Learn from pros! Absolutely beginner-friendly!

This event will be in the larger parking lot on the other side of the NOS Event Center, so we'll have room for two courses to provide different challenges for drivers of all levels.

And it isn't on Christmas Eve! It isn't on New Year's Eve either. It is the day before New Year's Eve! There are no holiday excuses for missing this one!

While I was in LA hitting up a few shops, meeting a few friends and enjoying the sun, I made it to DB. I had a blast and I hope this one is great.

Courses should be faster, bigger lot = more room. Layout isnt for sure yet, courses will be designed that morning. But I would say that its a good bet that at least one of the courses will have a 3rd gear entrance.

those that want 3rd gear entry better be at the top of 3rd and ready for it. Terry you want that rear subframe or what??? I'll trade you for clutch for this motor. I need reason to get in trouble again!!!

If that is a AE86 then you should just tighten it up. If S chassis then fix it cuz you really want to run on the 30th! And you know this!!!!

There will be two courses, so it will be diffierent from last time. We'll see about getting you some more entry speed so your little SOHC can keep in it.

Tech will be at 9:00am, and we'll probably shut down at 4:00.

Two courses = tons of run time. Most people don't have the tires to run any longer.

Hey Brian, I sent a couple emails and haven't heard back - I was wondering if people can come watch? Also should I get a confirmation for registering and paying? Haven't received anything yet.

Thanks - can't wait!

Hey Zack, sorry about that. I thought I replied to you. It isn't really a "spectator" event, but if a few people want to come hang out and watch that's fine.

We did get your registration. You're all set. I'll be sending an email tonight to those who are registered.

As long as there is no chance that your battery will flop around and hit your hood and start a fire. Just make sure that the thing isn't going to move, and please don't use zip-ties.

If you've never drifted a car with a fire billowing out from under the hood, let me tell you, it isn't fun.

As your brake pedal drops to the floor because your reservoir has melted and no you have no brake pressure, you start to wish you had known the car was on fire BEFORE you made that 65mph inititation.

Makes for a funny story, but it sure as hell wasn't funny at the time.

Just make sure your car is safe, and we'll be cool.

I showed up as a spectator for some odd ass reason.

everyone had TONS of track time, everyone got better as time progressed, and no1 really broke anything, with the exception of an FC that was burning coolant.

thanks to every one that took the time to come and spend a saturday at the "Buffet". All the drivers were great, and we were all stoked to seem the improvement in everyones driving by the end of the day. We tried to present a drift event that you could get enough seat time for the money and also have the ability to see some pro's run in the same run group as everybody else! ( lol, pro's are people too).

Thanks again
