The motor is a RWD S13 SR20DE bottom end with an SR16VE head on it. this is the same as the sr20ve head, with much bigger and more desirable camshafts. The motor was put together with new gaskets all around (including a new oem headgasket). The motor is assembled and ready to go (external oil line tapped and ready; distributor modified and ready.) The intake has been modified to fit a rwd application and is about 80% finished. You can either finish it yourself, or if youre patient enough I will finish it for you. You will also get a chipped ECU, and wiring harness.

The motor has greddy lightweight pullies on the waterpump and alternator, and the crank pully has been lightened (but it is still the stock pully, not some cruddy aftermarket alum one). The motor also has the greddy +1 quart cast alum oilpan on it, and the drain plug has been changed over to AN fittings so that you will not accidently strip it out. This motor is very clean, and very low milage, and has been compression tested. It was going to go in my car, so its not something that was thrown together just to be sold. If youre looking for something that is well put together, built correctly, and wont leak on you, this is for you.

I can take any photos you need (i have included a single crappy cell phone pic), and answer any questions you have. Please don't waste my time though.

I am caught in a financial bind and several factors are forcing me (to attempt) to sell this motor. If i cannot get around $3200 for the motor, I will keep it, and put it in a Datsun 1600 as I had planned. This may seem high, however with the work invested, plus the parts included, the investment adds up quickly.

You can respond here (it may take a little time for me to reply) or email me at [email protected]

Thanks for your time.

I forgot to add, the motor is located in Davis, Ca, and I would VERY much prefer a local pickup. I can work around your schedule if necessary.

Davis eh? are you a student here? That motor in a 1600 would be really fun.

Good Luck on your sale!

sounds nice... but i really second the notion of the write up... after that i may consider... but good luck with the sale if there is no write up... sounds like a nice project...

How are the VVL solenoids hooked up? Do you have pics of the flywheel side of the engine?

This is a known swap for the FWD sr20's (like the SE-R guys) but I have seen very few in the world running in rear drive setup. This will definitely score some "mad tyte jdm" points.

There is information about this swap floating around on the net. You can find some decent writeups on sr20forum.com.

The vvl selonoids are in their stock location, but I can source a relocating plate for you if you wanted to hide them. Its around $100 for the plate I believe.

Yes, I'm a student at Davis, are you?

I'm either going to put the motor in a 1600, or a gutted 240z. I dont feel like putting it in my current 510.

^^ yea I'm a student here too. Do you do all your own fab work? Dan at DGR fabrication is someone I would rec. for anything datsun.

I havent needed any fab work yet. If youre into cars, why arent you a part of FSAE?

Are you asking how much power it will make?

If so, I estimate around 210-215hp at the fly.

I missed the meeting for Formula SAE. Other commitments are keeping me busy too...I'm a Civil though.

Do the writeup anyway! If you have time. It's a pain in the ass to search all over that site and not find much. The most I learned searching around there is you'll need the custom intake manifold, and relocate/modify/eliminate the distributor.

I will take $2500 for the motor now, with a stock oilpan on it. You cannot build this motor to this quality for any cheaper.
