ok, i know that the heads-up speedometer was an available option on the S13 240SX coupe... would it be possible to custom-install one in a fastback? i've got a '92, by the way. is the harness it would plug into already built into my car, or would i have to splice? has anyone actually done this?
thanks...

i was thinking of doing the same thing to my '89 until i found out that the windshield alone cost over $1,200.  too rich for my blood.  but if someone else is paying, go for it!

$1200 for the windshield?! Holy shnikes! I have the HUD, and I have two stone chips that need to be filled in. Is the windshield by itself expensive, or just for the special HUD windshield? I thought it was a just a piece of reflective tint or something that made the HUD appear.

Nerfdude:  u could just get one of those HUD units from Deft.  just as good as the factory option, but without the hassle.

Apparition:  the regular windshield is prty cheap, but the HUD windshield is that expensive.  i've heard of ppl putting in their own reflective tint to save money.  don't kno about the legality of that, tho.

well, tapdancing christ... i payed that much for my CAR.... for 1200 i could buy decals, a triple deck Arospeed Vader wing (carbon fiber), 20", 50 lb. chrome rImZ, and a 5" APC muffler... i think i'll go that way. pics soon!
