I'm trying to rebuild the 180sx I had in Japan with a USDM 1991 240sx since I moved back a few months ago. All my Greddy gauges are 60mm & I can't seem to find anywhere that sells decent quality gauge pods that will work with them. Everything's 52mm! WTF? I bought a 52mm triple dash pod & bored it out with a Dremel, but it seems a real ghetto way of doing it. I'd like a pillar pod in 60mm like the Greddy one I had in Japan...all the J-spec ones are useless since they point the wrong direction & don't fit right if you try to use them on the opposite side. I did some searching here & found one unnamed company that sells them in the $250-380 range, depending on construction (CF vs. plastic). I really miss the setup I used to have! It was easy to see and inexpensive. New, the center pod cost $90 & the pillar pod was $65, in Japan.

With all the 60mm gauges out there, WHY are there no universal pods or vehicle specific pods for the 240?

harlock, problem is that 60mm gauge pods are common here - not the US.
S-chassis wasn't a desirable or commonly modified car until recently there, and some things just haven't crossed over yet (like nice gauge pods).
I'd say 'glas it and call it good.

AT the end of the day, WE ALL DRIVE POS old Nissans that aren't made anymore...if you don't, then why are you here on this site? I'm not flaunting, but making a point, that I'm not a 17 year old kid (I'm 34) who doesn't know his options or what he's talking about...It took me over 4 years & pretty much all of my money to build up my 180 & I want to use everything I put so much of my life into. The 240 I picked up already was damn near a worthless junkyard car & I'm trying to build it up right & fix all the stupid mistakes the previous owners made.
I was hoping that SOMEONE here might know someone who's making or selling what I need at a more reasonable price, as money doesn't grow on trees, and our 240's have a pretty decent following. So far, all I've gotten is useless inflammatory remarks with a few exceptions.

ok just wiped a bunch of shenanigans from this thread so it doesn't smell like so much shit.
Some of you guys were funny, some of you were assholes, some of you i'm disappointed in. Whatever.
Let's try to be a little more helpful, ok guys?
Even though a gauge pod question seems a bit of a trifle, and especially nothing to get worked up about, it is a valid concern in terms of monitoring a high-power engine.
Clearly high power is something harlock seems to know about (or he's just fronting and making a stink about nothing).
Anyhow, it's a valid question and someone who knows should be helpful and speak up.
Not helpful? Don't post it.
Keep the shit posting in OT or chat.

it looks like my message got deleted for some reason
if you had a chance to read it, it described how to make your own cheap gauge pods, and where to find pre made 60mm gauge pods

My brother had a 60 mm Apexi boost gauge, he ended up dremeling my autometer dual gauge pod. Looks good if you take your time and won't notice anything wrong with it.

Thanks for the help & assistance guys! I will be using an Autometer dual pillar 52mm bored out & triple 52mm bored out glassed over/repainted for additional strength & appearance...maybe one of these days, one of the bigger companies will get with the program!
