I am interested in getting a 240 and swapping a Black Top S-14 SR20DET motor in it. What kind of performance should I expect from this motor in a 1995 SE. What kind of quater mile times, etc.
Thanks

probably 0-60 in the low 6 second high 5 second range
i think the stock 1/4 mile is in the low to mid 13's

so would you be able to crack the 12's with a better manafold turbo dp and full exhaust? with good driving and stickey tires? thanks

with a perfect start and perfect shifting you might be able to go a 12 with just a really good flowing 3 inch exhaust.  First thing id do after that would be an intercooler and a boost controller.  Then you could definitely be in the very low 13's and high 12's

I've been running the sr20det swap specs on a 240sx in a cartest program.  With 250hp from the s15 engine, you will see 13.6 seconds... theoretically... this is with .5 second shifting and 18% driveline losses and 52/48 weight distribution.  If you shorten the shifts to .3 seconds, you will run a 13.4 somehow... and if you reach 300 hp in our cars, with .3 second shifts, you can see 12.7's.
But.. this is a program, and... the best thing I have to guestimate by.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think a stock blacktop s13 would run in the mid 14's maybe low 14's.   Comparably, a new wrx (depending on magazine) runs in the mid 14's, which has comparable hp and torque, although the car weighs a little more, awd should help with the launch and get the cars about the same at the end.
