I'm starting med school next fall and getting pretty excited about it, although I know I have a long, hard road ahead of me. Anyone in here going down the same path? I remember a resident posting pics of his SR build a while ago on one of the forums, can't remember which one now though.

My sister is.
Seems just as hard as studying and stuff, except you pretty much have a day job that gives you a grade.

I have a friend who was trying to become one, started going through with it, then when they started to go into actual hospitals, he couldn't stand the blood and everything that had to be dealt with. So now he decided to go down another path of work.

If that was the case, I'd be a brain surgeon:keke:

I'm applying to D.O. school right now. Hopefully I'll be in the same boat as you. Where are you going to school in the fall? I'm gonna have to drop this car stuff like a bad habit when the time comes. It really makes me sad to think about it.

Just drop it off at my house. :keke:

I got into Loyola. I'm still waiting to hear from some other schools in Chicago (Northwestern, Rush, UIC), but I really liked Loyola when I interviewed so I think I'll probably end up there. Where are you looking to go? My friend's sister is in her first year at the DO school in Illinois (can't remember its name offhand) and she loves it so far.

And yea, the car stuff's gonna pretty much die once med school starts :( I'm trying to get my car done before then so I just have something fun and reliable that can get me through a few track days when I have some time off. I was never one to bust my balls and not have a life in undergrad just to get a GPA 2 tenths of a point higher, so hopefully I can apply that philosophy a little in med school and enjoy myself a little. Or not. We'll see.
