I'm planning on cleaning my IAC valve using the spray-through IAC tube method. I have a bottle of carb cleaner but I'm hearing that I should be using Intake cleaner instead. What's the difference? Carb cleaner should work fine shouldn't it?

Bullshit.
Carb cleaner is too harsh.
Use intake cleaner. There is a reason why there are two diffrent types.
Using carb cleaner on your maf will straight fuck your shit up.

ohh ya i think ive seen that stuff in a car mag, it said that a bmw gained something like 4 hp on the dyno using that stuff... sure... but i guess it would make sence.. like grounding your coil to a better ground, and stuff like that.

Never get anything that is chlorinated. It will fuck your day up.
Get MAF/contact cleaner for anything electrical.
