ok im tinking about doing a s15 conversion on my 97 240sx, i read up on some info regarding the conversion from websites such as http://www.360realms.com/S13-S15/ and i did use the search button. My questions is, do i need to buy a s15 core support in order to do the swap? i read that some people say 97-98 core support are the same as a s15 core support is that true? also, has anyone tried using origin lab s14.5 fenders for the swap? do they fit good? And finally, some people say that it is dangerous to do a s15 conversion because you will need to get rid of the renforcement bar, is that again true? is it more dangerous? Will i be able to do the swap myself?
thanks in advance for the reply.

^ done.
I used a s15 support, but that was becouse I had an accident.
I would just use the s14 one, its a pain to swap supports... I did the whole front end correction etc.

should die if you're gonna do that to a Kouki. Sell it and get a Zenki.

you dont need and s15 core support for the 97-98's only the 95-96 models need the core. You will need s15 conversion fenders for the s14. Heres my car i used Chargespeed conversion wide fenders, i also took off reinforcement bar.

Use your existing core support, it has the proper opening for the back of the headlights. Other questions can be answered via search IMO

97-98 cores have openings in the back of the headlight assembly area. S15 headlights will sit right on those openings. 95-96 doesnt have these openings and all you have to do is cut the metal to open them up. As for fenders, for cheap, id recommend origin or verselect, or better yet chargespeed supposedly fit better than the other 2.

Ahahah. Don't listen to any of these fucks. Do whatever you want. Like has been said, you don't have to mess with your core support. The 95-96 needs to be cut, but still not replaced.
Do it right, and it will look good. Cheap out, and it will look like shit. I did it right.

unless you have better taste in wheels, wheel fitment, aero, color schemes and ride height, you may want to reconsider.

LoL.. Right. Sorry I didn't lower my car so low that I couldn't get out of my own apartment complex. My paint scheme is fuckin great. Better taste in wheels!? Sorry Advan SA3R's are good enough for you. Which wheels tickle your fancy? And 18x9 +12 all the way around. Right, bad fitment.
Idiot.

...i see why you wouldnt want to lower it anymore..you scratch those perty sideskirts theres no goin back
your paint scheme is fuckin great for a fast and the furious audition
the wheels/fitment part was more geared toward the primered trash wagon, but now that i think about it i hate advans more now than i ever have before.
if pos. camber, molded skirts, and killer graphix are your thing, then rock that shit hard as ever just for me. until then, try not to spread these glorious design cues to others.

Sorry guys, I agree with the Viceroy guys and KoukiMonster. To pull off S15 front ends, you need 3 things:
1. Style (Aero and Paint)
2. Rims that have lips to the end of the earth
3. And the power to back it up
Looks like the power is there but the other 2 are missing. Just mine and there styles I guess. Whatever floats your boat. I think we all agree S15 fronts are high end and they deserve high end treatment! Any one agree? *a
*EDIT*
PS: Anyone else think the "Nismo" S14.5 front wheels look wider then that back or bad fender fitment?

its like i swear
every single thread on zilvia is limited to 3 topics
1) id this body kit
2) how to do an s15 conversion
3) what wheels are these.
maybe should get out to the track sometime in the future? plus all the info in this thread could have been googled and searched. saves you time and emberassment.

Its cool, I didn't make my car to impress other people. I actually built it for my girlfriend, and we like it.
But to answer the wheel question. No, the fronts are not wider. They are all 18x9. But, the front has a 10mm spacer to clear the coilovers. I only had two laying around, so I will have to get some for the rear. The fenders fit incredible.
And I'm not sure if the track comment was for me or not, but this car was not built for the track. As you can probably guess from the molded sideskirts. Its a highway monster.
We have an S13 for track.

Agreed.
As for S15 front conversions...I just don't think they look right on S14's. Kouki front ends look much better.
On the other hand, S13 Hatchbacks can look alright with an S15 front. The body lines between the s13-hatch and s15 seem to be similar, but the s15 front just looks weird on an S14.

I never really felt the S15 front end on a S14. esp. on a kouki...If it ain't broke? why ruin it? Your money though man.
Im sure your local bodyshop could help you as well.

for a good clean swap you need the core support i got mine for 215 shipped to my door for nismoparts.com and you can still use your bumper support if you don't have a huge fmic like i do i jus cut mine in half and moded it to fit good luck
