so i am thinking about getting a xbox 360 here just for this game, and dead riseing and halo3 when it comes. anyone play it? i diddn't hear mutch about it anywhere, but then again i am not mutch of a game player except for when one can entertain me.

im not a 3rd person shooter guy but i must say this game is great. it gets a lil ackward when in close range though and shooting without aiming is pointless but its hott. dead rising is crazy hard man theres like a time limit and shit. at first u're incredibly weak. u have to level up and play for a while to get strong enough to be good for anything. very frustrating. game looks sick on high def though and its fun if u're not looking to get through the games story

I got it. Takes 2 people to play. one to read the guide book and one to play. Miss so much crap like gear tags. Watch out for the bloody gears on walls and shit. Usually means there are gear tags or something around.

It's a monster if you can pull off headshots. Pretty much has the same effect as the sniper rifle. But I don't think it has the 1 shot 1 kill like the rifle. But it's still pretty powerful.

If I have a Lancer (gun w/ chainsaw) then I usually get them on their knees and just walk up to 'em, point the revolver at their head and splatter their face on the pavement. Too many people do the curb stomp and chainsaw executions. I gotta be original. ;)

oh man, i played GOW at my friends last night and iwas impressed with it. i like well made third person shooters. (resident evil 4 was awesome). overall i loved the action and sound effects. the graphics were real engaging as well. id say its a safe bet to try it out :)

I broke down and got it. xbox 360 premium & burnout for it at wall mart for 399

then went and got GOW and FEAR for it. FEAR doesn't look that great, but is honestly kinda a freaky FPS. but i belive that is another thread.

Awesome game.

Awesome moments:

1. Co-op, having a friend distract the BOOM guys, and running up behind it and slapping a grenade on its back.

2. Chainsawing anything. Period.

3. Disarming an enemy, running up and curb stomping.

4. The quick little buggers, the climbing screaming things, waiting until they jump to attack you and then blindly firing your shotgun into them. Watch them ASPLODE all over the place.

5. The rest of the game.

BERSERKERS BLOW!!!!, but yeah man, i have both games listed...Halo3 on reserve. Gears of war is hella scary and fun att he same time; highly addictive. Dead Rising is like a Gran Theft Auto in the mall with zombies.You'll have to play through the games story like a bunch of times to actually BEAT it. Its more of a High Def game cause if you play on regular small tv's the text is super hard to read.

This game was made for multiplayer, like all games are nowadays, if you want an epic pick up final fantasy.

This game is so good online, the campaign is just an awesome addition for you and your friends to get good at it.

I got GOW for Christmas and am playing through the campagne mode. I think the game is just OK. Yea the graphics are really good and so is the sound and over-all presentation. However it doesn't reallseem like anything new to me. You hide behind stuff and pop up and shoot. THAT'S supposed to make it next gen?

Anyway I think it's a good game, but if I was reviewing it I'da gave it more of a 8 insted of the 9's a d 10's it got everywhere.

XBOX360 is NOT next gen, the graphics are ok, I was not impressed with GOW what so ever. Sure the game play is fun and a little tactical... But the bump shading was not impressive, it looked like HL2 (graphics from last year). I wasn't even impressed with GRAW's graphics. I had more fun playing it on the PC.

You wanna know what next gen is? Not 360, not wii, its the Playstation 3.

The PS3 has a giant leap between xbox, ps2, gamecube, wii, and even the 360.

But sadly Sony couldn't deliver, with the high price tag and production issues, they are off at a rough start.

If someone spends 400$ on an iPod, why not spend 600$ on a console?

=o welp, we will soon know if the PS3 fails or not, just wanted to point that out.

I'll continue to play Halo 2, that and forza.

To me 360 def feels next gen compared to ps2. I made the move to Xbox this year and I'm happy so far..looking forward to Forza 2. I have Rainbow Six & Test Drive which are both cool games..online play works well too. PS3 looks and plays no better..maybe next year. Wii has next gen control. For the money right now Wii>360>PS3

Truth right there. Wii is definatly the best next gen system and it'll be #1 this time around. Yea 360 has great online play and PS3 has the best graphics, but that stuff doesn't impress me much anymore. Wii, is, truely, revolutionary. No matter how you look at it. I'd take Wii sports over and 360 title to date. And that shit is free.:keke:

I recently watched an interview with Hideo about MGS4, apparently he claims it will be a PS3 exclusive & claims it will be released in 2007. What the article says is plausible, since the publisher has a say in what happens, but that doesn't force the studio to convert to the entire game to 360. Who knows, its absolutely possible if PS3 doesn't do well in 07.

I also wanted to ad that Square-Enix is hyping Final Fantasy XIII, and Kingdom Hearts 2. I remember reading an article about all the titles being released in 07, one of which was mentioned by Square-Enix has a "mystery title." Which is pissing me off because you know... they did show a "technical demo" of Final Fantasy 7 on the PS3... They also stated that Advent Children will be on Blu-Ray X_X

This sums it up right here. In the last few weeks I've had conversations with people that tell that their grandparents are playing Wii...Their fucking GRANDPARENTS ARE PLAYING VIDEO GAMES! That's :loco: . Give the Wii a year and it'll be so far on top, it'll be nrealy impossible to pass.

Granfolks playing videogames is not cool J/P :p I think Nintendo came back hard...they are the underdog now and underdogs either work really hard or innovate. Whoever's on top gets cocky and overcharges or gets lazy and gives more of the same. That's where Nintendo originally went wrong back in the day and where Sony is headed. Xbox is similar to PS3 but cheaper and king of Live...which is a cool experience on it's own. PS3 has the potential though so it's gonna be a crazy year..I'll be waiting to see how the drama unfolds..

The way I see it is we all win. Especially those that have all three systems. I mean no matter who's on top everyone ise going to have some great content.

i bought the 360 elite back in april, and i play it when i have some free time, which is like maybe 3 hours a week.

my games:
GOW: pretty fun scifi combat shooter. 8/10
Rainbow6 Vegas:realistic tactics and weaponry 9.9/10
Lost Planet:this is like starship troopers with small mechs.... 7/10
Dead Rising:repetative.. but how can you go wrong on sensless violence and zombies? 8/10
F.E.A.R.: it was only fun cause of the spooky/creepy kid....other than that.. kinda blah for a shooter. 6/10 (max payne was better)

Im not really into console games but all my friends who have a 360, thats their favorite game, i played it once or twice for a bit. Its pretty fun. Thumbs Up on it :p
