Ive heard it both ways so I'm not so sure what the right things to do is. From the safety side I've been told never cross your arms because if you get in an accident and the airbag goes off welcome to some extra pain. But I've also had argued that you should never move your hands on the wheel because you lose familiarity with the position and makes you more open to mistakes.
