You know how hard of a decision this is to me? Now everybody is going to pull out there Fanboy card like it was the Ace of Spades! Yeah, you heard me, Fanboy should be a term only used amongst gamers because this is a UGLY war... (Refering to Youtube, YTMND, 4Chan, GiaOnline bashing).

Personally, I have been Sony bias for the longest time. I stayed faithful to the concept but the controller is GETTING OLD. Yes, you heard that from a Sony Fanboy!

I love the XBOX360, because it renders HALO 2 WAY BETTER THEN THE ORIGINAL XBOX! Take that Microsoft. Aside from Bungies Blockbuster hit, I enjoy Forza and the S14 KA-T 713BHP 240SX on the uphill climbs... Keep in mind these are still original XBOX games...

Now, the Nintendo Wii. I hate it... I HATE I HATE I HATE... Why do you ask? Because the Controller is absolutely brilliant! If you ever get within a 1 mile radius of a Gamestop, walk in and demo the Wii... It's a science... Toy around with the interface, leave a memo, play the stupid 4x4 game... Just wait until you get a chance to play Red Steel where your a Samurai swinging that remote around like you were swatting blindly into the air. Take out the gun and shoot down your enemies!

Overall, I want the Nintendo Wii out of all of them for its affordablility. The capabilities are very limited, a single media bay. Either that or the PS3 for its superior graphics and cell technology. DID ANYONE KNOW YOU COULD INSTALL LINUX, OR EVEN WINDOWS VISTA ONTO THE PLAYSTATION 3!?

Yeah, thats the ticket... I want the Playstation 3 because it comes with: a 1000$ Blu-Ray Drive, Bluetooth, a cell-processor (give it up, its the future), Capability to install Windows Vista, and you get the lame dual-shock controller (actually called 6-axis). It's Sony's "Computer Entertainment System." Period...

Now I am going to sit around and CRY because I won't get one for less then "599 U.S. Dollars." :down:

I have a 360 already, and I'm mildly impressed with it. Gears of War is the first game that looks like a killer app.

Come this time next week, I'll be hours into my adventure with Link.

360 chyea. Dynamite online play, plenty of original titles, awesome computing power *yet to see anything on any system that looks any better*.

Eventually Wii. Will wait to see if they get more titles. I could imagine that controller being a pretty fun thing to use drunk.

Still waiting to see what the PS3 turns out to be. I've got a shaking suspicion it might just flop, Sony has boggled this release so poorly. Plus I don't want to spend 600$ on that shiz.

Oh and for those skeptical on the Wii-mote and how it will effect gameplay for games such as Zelda...Check out Gamespy's review. All is perfect. In fact that's the score they gave it. A perfect 5 stars. I CAN'T WAIT TIL SUNDAY!

I plan on getting the PS3 when Gran Turismo HD (GT5) comes out. I think I may get a Wii at the end of next year when the price drops some more, even though its already cheap. I've heard nothing but good things about it from the people that have actually used the remote. I think when people actually try it out, they'll enjoy it. And I've never been impressed with any of the X-Box's.

i'd wait until a second version comes out for any consoles, with all these very complex tech goodies, alot of them are rushing to get them out in the market, that could mean alot of bugs

I already got an Xbox 360. In fact, I'm a PS fan that switched to Xbox. In my opinion, Sony seems like its running dry on original content (sub par "six axis" controller that was suddenly created before E3 and a xbox live marketplace rip off)

Overall, I think that PS3 needs to offer more than a blu-ray drive and game franchieses that I have found to be boring after such a long run on PS and PS2.

I will be purchasing a Wii after the holiday season, I will give it some time to see if the "wii mote" is just a gimmick.

Don't get me wrong, I still love my games. I will be purchasing a PS3 as well in a couple years after some sort of massive price drop.

For now, I will enjoy my 360. Forza 2 will be great.

i just got a 360 2 weeks ago and its soo much fun. i watch all my computer videos on it through media center, its great. xbox live is awesome too. i've yet to play my old xbox games on it to see if theres a difference though. the ps3 sounds like it has alot of cool gadgets but come on who will use them all. and to be honest nothing ps has attracts me but gt. im not into resident evil or devil may cry or ff. wii dont know anything about. will have to pass by a gamestop or something and play it.

What about an installation of a new OS like Windows Vista? Look at the PSP and how it gets new features every update... I think Sony is trying to make the PS3 like that... The whole "what can't it do?" type thing.

i found that the psp updates were mostly just to slow/extremely limit pirating more than adding unique updates to thier handheld..(yes, WMA support was nice) although going online through wifi on my psp has made it easier for me to look up some stuff while i was in a library without a laptop. From my observation, the PSP is more of a "homebrew" device to many owners around my area more than a legit gaming system.

unfortunately, i'm not looking for another piece of hardware to watch "next gen" movies on or surf the internet. i have my computer for that. thats why i'm fond of nintendo's outlook on gaming and i my experience on xbox live has been great (i've been a member since the service first started).

i really cant wait for Wii. Red Steel looks quite impressive and the new Zelda is def on its way to game of the year status. im glad to see a company actualy design a new controller rather than following old pattern designs (ahem...sony!!) and at a $250 price tag most can afford this innovative system:)

i will try and score a PS3 but only to resell to those nuts on ebay :)

but other than that im rather satisfied with my old game systems :)

Man, I've seen some of those in-store displays. Crap is so cramped it gets no cooling, its probally overheating.

They had the same problem at E3. I'm sure it's more of an issue of it not being cooled then a manufacturing issue.

haha like ive told every other guest, no preorders, no midnight release, and we dont know how many we are getting, (ive seen the backroom, only stuff we actually have in stock before release are movies, music, or games,) and we expect people to start lining up the afternoon before, around 7am before opening at 8am we will hand out vouchers/tickets to people in line to keep things more organized

Yeah, with certain games or certain parts in the games. The same happened with the 'PSOne' (when it replaced the original) and the 'Slim PS2' (when it replaced the original PS2). Some PS1 games wont play on PS2, and some just have glitches in certain parts.

I find it comical that all my friends who have xbox have one game in there and NEVER EVER even open the tray, (at least the year that ive been paying attention to it) so xbox seems kind of pointless to me. I like the wii due to its awsome price, I think im gonna go get one todday, if I can score one in the morning ill get it, if not prolly wait a while. still goin on ebay for decent money even though i hear that theres gonna be a ton available. and the only thing I saw with ps3 was money signs in my eyes. when i couldnt get it i said o well guess i hvae to wait for the plasma tv till next year. forget that, 600 bux for that is silly. Though i have to say I think ps3 will be the dominant system again, and probably rightly so after some new versions come out within the months.

I picked up a few wii systems last night. There was a huge line at walmart and only 10 of us lined up at rhino games in the same plaza... I haven't had a chance to play around with Zelda yet, but wii sports is neat

seriously the PS3 is BORING me at this point. All the launch games are recycled ports, which was expected. A couple of original and exclusive games like Resistance which is not too great. I give the PS3 another year to offer some good games. For now the PS3 is just a memory/GPU upgrade over a PS2.

Xbox 360 has some really solid games right now, most notably Gears of War. Although not too innovative which heavily borrows from Killswitch, Winback, Time Crisis, Resident Evil 4, Doom, etc. the game is done RIGHT. Very good system for the price although some hardware issues here and there.

Nintendo Wii so far is entertaining me alot. They get a lot of props for trying to "change" the industry, not only by the Wiimote controllers, and broadening gaming to a wider audience, but also by offering a cheap system to the consumer AND the developers. Reports of about $2,000 for a dev kit which is SUPER CHEAP compared to an Xbox 360 or a PS3. The creativity and ideas are endless with the Wii and tells publishers/developers that you don't need a 20 million dollar budget to make a game.

Spent about 6 hrs with Wii yesterday and I have to say it's the most entertaining system I've ever played. I got Zelda, which I've patiently been waiting for for a long time, and we ended up playing Wii Sports most of the night cause it was just THAT much fun.

Wii is worth every penny. Everyone that came over to my house last night to try it out, was just blown away by how fun it was!

So I foolishly believed I could easily grab a wii from one of the 3 targets in serramonte/tanforan. Nope 8am there was already a fatty line for all three along with circuit city and best buy. So I picked up a 360 premium from craigslist and Gears of War. Pretty happy with it so far. I guess i'll pick up a wii down the line.

Serramonte target handed out numbered wristbands from 10pm-12am saturday.

Then you were free to do whatever you wanted untill 6am. To where you lined back up to where your wristband said. They came back, handed out tickeds.

And I had my wii by 10:15am.

For the most part, controls are sketchy, especially when sword fighting, it looks like 2 cavemen trying to figure out how to hit each other. Also, the graphics aren't up to par with the current gen games, even for the wii.

nintendo can undoubtedly implement the remote well... but can other developers? and can they make it fun? that's going to be key to keep the wii going. otherwise it's going to be another nintendo console with like 3 good games, all made by nintendo.

what didnt you like about red steel? i havent played either since i couldnt get my hands on one.

red steel just illustrates my point... red steel did a bad job with the wii controls. that's why it sucks.

I'm not that far into Zelda (I was pretty drunk last time I played so I don't remember the time exactly), like 6 hrs or so, but it is so so so freakin sweeet! At first it felt a little unfamalier but shortly into it it felt just like me beloved Zelda franchise. If I could only play one game the rest of the year, Zelda would be it.

they all have their weaknesses, but i thihnk that ps3 is kinda overrated. ive played on a nintendo wii and its fun, i dont think that ps3 could match actual movements. thats just my opinion though

i would only get the Wii for the standard nintendo titles ie, Zelda, Mario, Metroid, etc.

but my 360 and Gears of War are simply awesome right now. ill wait for ps3's later versions, besides, all the good games ie, Devil May Cry, God Of War, Gran Turismo, Final Fantasy etc, will come out around then too!!!

Every penny. Most fun I've had playing games in literally years. This coming from someone who considers himself to be a pretty hardcore gamer nerd. Well at least the hardcore gamer part is true.

Zelda owns all. That's all you need for now. Wii Sports comes with it and THAT will also provide many hours of flailing enjoyment. :bigok:

got my wii on sun. and love it def. the most fun I have had with a new console in a long time. I had to wait in line twice at 5a.m. for it, Waited at gamestop on friday I was 10th in line and they only got 8, then sun. waited at best buy I was 51 in line and they had 51. I was soooo happy, they handed out 50 tickets in the morning and I was next in line. I was like wtf I already waited might as well wait around 2 more hours to see if someones card doesnt go through or something. Luckily they had 1 more when I got to the front of the line. I have a 360 and gears of war. Had a 360 since release last year and I think it is a great system, great online support, solid games, good graphics. I def. wouldnt give it up for only a wii but the wii is just as good as the 360 if not better in the gameplay dept. I am not a graphics whore and I think wii looks fine even on my 46" hd 16:9, I played the ps3 demo and wasnt that impressed the graphics were good but it seemed like the refresh rate was kinda slow and not up to par with gears on 360. So my verdict dont waste your money on the ps3, you can get a 360 and a wii for that price almost. And you will have tons more fun!
