I have a Spec Stage 2 clutch on my KA DOHC S13. It's alright. I'm almost positive that the clutch (disc specifically) is what is causing the noise from the tranny on decel. It happens at 2500 to 2000. I've researched and posted in a few threads after searching, and it is most likely due to the Disc. One being designed like a puck but full disc, the springs are not designed to cancel out the harmonic vibration made from the drivetrain. I can't say for sure it's the clutch but it's more than likely. I would look at Exedy or ACT. I've heard good things about RPS as well. I would go with something other than Spec. That's my opinion, but do as you wish. Hope this helped you. Goodluck with it.

Act is crap also.

Go with Illegal Garage/Superior performance clutch.

I swear I've said this same thing before?

Who knows...

I had it and I didnt like it. The spring in on the disc came off and got stuck between the disc and the flywheel and messed everything up. If anything get a Centerforce Dual friction at the least.

Well I had one and it was awesome. It hooked the fuck up all the time and never caused me any problems.

You haven't been looking hard enough then. Spec is ok, but kind of on the cheap side as far as some of the components go.

I have a spec stage 2 with and act clutch disk. So far it has grabbed hard for me every time, hasnt slipped or caused me problems yet. I have it on my KA-T pushing like 260 to the wheels.

I have the SPEC Stage 3 with the 6 puck disk, and it has held up for 3 years, mostly daily driving duties but have done some road racing, drag racing, and some drifting with it.

I love the clutch, except on initial slippage to get the car going in 1st and 2nd gear I'll sometimes get this squeal going, not really sure what part of the clutch system is making that noise.

In either case, I'm going to step up to the Exedy Stage 2 clutch next, not only because I've heard so many people say it's absolutely awesome, but we can get them at low low low low prices. So low I will match prices if someone sells it for lower than us, if not beat it.

I have it on my SR, I'm going to buy a better clutch next time, im not impressed either. Exedy gets my vote, and Ive heard good things about ACT street strip or whatever its called.

You mean the ACT Heavy Duty clutch kit?

Comes with ACT Heavy Duty pressure plate (2100 lb clamp load) and an organic full face street disk. We can hook you up on those too :coold:
