Yuri, What do you think of that s13.4 vert's fenders? Blair(Jiinkz) a I were thinking they are steel fenders but aren't those harder to obtain than the AIT ones you have?

Lol I should have suspected that you would take most your pic's and time in the wheel area.

Yuri

^Thanks man.

The fenders on the S13.4 appear to be fabricated using oem steel fenders.
nice car, but the interior doesn't seem to make sense. Fixed buckets and partial gutting with suede panels and vip style dash tray?
The wheels could have been more awesome too. they were only running 225/35-18's on the rear. That's what I run on the front.
Had a V6 swap though, with some awesome exhaust.
Personally I loved the vip-style FD.

As for what I do, I'm a wheel designer.

That S13.4 Vert was super hot in person, I thought execution was good. I'm guessing the VIP tray was just to keep the theme of the booth. Don't feel threatened Yuri ;)

Had a VQ as well (although that motor is visually ugly).

The AME Shallen CX on there were bananas fitment, not practical but sick as hell.

The Evolve Volvo (the yellow joint) was SERIOUS. That thing had 355's out back and

16 PISTON CALIPERS.

zwat the hell is that thing? im suprised they even left the s14 taillights....i wish the folks that did that kinda thing would pick a less "usefull" chassis, like an accord or something that has no potential to begin with. damn.

but, nonetheless, i can appreciate all the work that was put into it, no matter what it is.

Yeah, when I was walking by the car, I did a double take and hit the damn brakes!

I definitely respect their craftsmanship and hardwork, but the fact it was a S14 zenki was puzzling. It seemed like so futuristic, and there you have zenki tails and boooooring zenki headlights.

The steering wheel was a subwoofer if I remember correctly also.

That Lincoln is actually a Zephyr. Lincoln had a lot of trouble getting the rights back to that name, and after a year of production, they decide to overhaul their naming system, calling it the LTZ. Yeah. way to go there Lincoln.

But does anyone notice the Gran Turisimo award sticker on the door?
Every SEMA since last year, the Polyphony staff go around and select cars to appear in future GT games. Last year, Steph Papadakis's drift S2000 was selected, and recieved the sticker. This year, the sticker shows up on the Zephyr. I think a Lincoln LS would make a great vip car too.

Hah, there was an SNL skit called "the Mistress" where the gas cap was actually a hole for you to bang. hehe. too funny.

Yeah, I am in love with that black FD, I almost bought a black fd (stock one) a few months ago, but decided against having two money-pits. It's cars like that that make me want to, though..

Yuri - did you happen to swing by the Giovanna booth? I know it's not quite zilvia-style, but one of my buddies is a designer/writer/drifter/bus-driver over there, it would be funny if you two knew each other..

cheers,

If you think clear rims are bad...anybody seen PIMPSTARS yet??? Lemme just put it this way, if having LED lights on your tire caps are illegal, then imagine how fast cops will pull you over for having PIMPSTARS. The idea i think is pretty coo but no way in hell id rock it (beside the price tag on the bitch).

Pimpstars: made by Dub
Dub: a division of MHT wheels
Me: a designer for MHT wheels.

Does it matter to you that prototypes of the wheel were run up and down Latigo canyon in the trunk of a drifting Sileighty?
lol.

They're actually really cool to watch, and because of the potential for harassment, we've since integrated an instant kill switch.

I got to ride around vegas in a pimpstar equipped Escalade. You wouldn't believe people's reactions to the wheels. Whats even cooler is you can upload jpegs and display them on the wheel.

They're not something I'd personally run, they don't suit my style.
But they're awesome to watch.

I hear 26's will retail for around $16k a set. wow.

I think Pimpstars are bad ass.

Whoever thought of that shit, genius.

I still don't understand why no ones made spinners for the drift segment.

I'm not even kidding either.

ThatGuy
11-10-2006, 06:01 PM
I still say someone should make a "spinner" that stays staionary as the wheel spins. But, instead of spokes, it should be a scale model of the car the wheels are on. So as you roll down the block, the car rolls on the lip of your wheel. Now that'd be pimp. :keke:

Nah son

Drift spinner, you could be on the track and psyching fools out

AM I E BRAKING? AM I NOT? CAN'T TELL!

Do it black out style on the real face, chrome out the spinner portion spokes.

I'm amazed someone hasn't run spinners on track just for giggles yet.

Akiros
11-10-2006, 07:38 PM
^holy shit, that would look kinda neat, a more "tuned down" approach to spinners would look cool. not my personal taste, but it would be cool nontheless.

And HOLY SHIT for being able to display jpegs on the wheels, thats insane.
