well, i hit the dragstrip yesterday to see what the car could do, i wasnt expecting much, it was well over 100 degrees in the late afternoon, humidity was high, and track temps reached well into the 130's...

anyways, i went to take my hubcaps off so i could tech, and to my surprise, there were only 4 LUGS!!! i thought i was supposed to have 5... di the se models (i have a 97) also come in a 4 lug pattern, or did they have 5<img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt='???'>

now that im in the process of looking for a decent set of wheels for some victoracers, does anybody know the lug pattern, and exact (stock) wheel size for a 97 base???

when looking for wheels to drive around in everyday, what is a good offset to have in an aftermarket wheel???

thanks...

they are (when measured on a balancing machine) 6.5 inches wide by 15 inch with a 4 * 114.3 bolt pattern... and if you had hubcaps you shoulda known right away... hell my base model even has mags. but a lot of honda mags have second holes or 4*114.3, you just have to worry about offsets and spacers at that point.

so, if i want to get a set of 16 x 7.5 or 7 volk racing wheels for my base, what would be the best offset for me to get? would i need a spacer? at what point will a spacer be necessary???

thewhole, thanks for the response, would you (or anybody else) happen to know the wheel offset for the stock wheels???

thanks...

Just FYI this stuff should be in the FAQ. Not to put you down or whatever, but this info really has been gone over a LOT.
The general consensus is that relatively lower offsets (closer to +30 than to +40) are in order for our cars. Unless ofcourse you're running 10" rims... but that you're not.

If you're having trouble finding info here on zilvia, try freshalloy.com.
