So I've had my SR20DET Motorset for about 2 years now in my friends garage, In 3 months I'm dropping the bitch in. I started doing all my research and then it hit me, what are some of the problems that would arise from the motor just sitting on the ground? When I searched I saw Frozen throughout bearing, before installing the engine I'll be putting in a brand new Exedy Stage 2 so I should be good on that since the kit came with one.

the motor is probably seized like mine was... so when you try to prime it it sounds like its super bad compression... don't worry too bad. Just spray PB blaster in the spark plug holes for 1-2 seconds let them sit over night and try to crank it again. It should sound a better now, hopefully. Also check your hoses. Hope this helped.

I'd say flush the coolant, replace all the fluids and lubricants, and do all the regular tune-up stuff, ect...
Before you try to start the engine, use a socket and big breaker bar on the crank pulley bolt to spin the inturnals, just to make sure it's not seized .
BTW, it's a throw-out bearing

lol.. all SRs that we get have been sitting in yards for a while. Doesn't seem to an issue with most.
