LOS ANGELES, California (AP) -- Neil Patrick Harris is gay and wants to quell any rumors to the contrary.

"(I) am quite proud to say that I am a very content gay man living my life to the fullest," Harris tells People magazine's Web site.

The 33-year-old actor said he was motivated to disclose his sexuality because of recent "speculation and interest in my private life and relationships."

Harris stars on the CBS comedy "How I Met Your Mother." He started on TV as a teen, playing the namesake doctor on the series "Doogie Howser, M.D."

My girlfriend and I saw him in a local record store in Sherman Oaks, California. I would not be suprised if he lives in Encino. My girlfriend was like "Hey, there is Doogie Howser." I was like "Huh, that is cool."

Anyway...it is good to see he is comfortable enough with his on sexuality to anounce it to everyone.

How come all of the gay bashing is condoned even though it is in fun, but slight racial comments are not? Same type of discrimination.
His character in Star Ship Troopers was such a cock, frustrating that he never got ate or anything. Only hot chicks die, awesome, great idea for a movie.

I voted today to allow gay marraige in WI. That intitles me to at least 10 doogie comments per year now.:drama:
