ok, my search came up with either 2nd or 3rd (because they run the hottest) then 4th (closest to firewall)
i really want to run it on the runner of the hottest cylinder.. any ideas

i used had my EGT tap onto #4 runner then i tap onto #1 becasue ive found out the #1 always ran hot and leanier.but i suggest you get a wideband O2 to get the exactly & as possible reading on airfuel maxture.the wideband is definately needed and will help you when you tune your ecu with safc (most ppl had) on the street or dynojet.

I tapped it at the collector where all four met.

most pre-tapped manfolds come with the 4th runner tapped. Doesn't tell you which is hottest though. Ideally you want a reading for each cylinder and some ITBs to tune each cylinder individually, but eh, it's a lot of work.
I'd say tap the 4th.

Exhaust housing for the turbo. It's not the hottest, but it's the most accurate.

I tapped mine in the collector but ideally your supposed to tap the hottest cylinder but like said, theres no easy way of telling which. Ive been told if your not sure, tap the cylinder thats closes to the FPR. If your car runs lean due to fuel issue, its the furthest cylinder and closes to the FPR that will have the least amount of fuel causing it to lean out. For SRs, the FPR is up front so #1 will lean out. For KA, the FPR is in the rear so #4 will lean out.
