Yo way late for this, its been proved already, numerous times, go to 240sx.org and go to installs, there 2 turbod 89-90 240's, plus im proving it in a totally different way, that is cooler then any turbo, im doing Full machine work plus carburators. When im done im going to post everything i did and what my times are, cause im going to be gettign around 300-350 hp when im all done, and thats without a turbo.

boy, if I had a dollar for every guy w/ a slow car that said that... and still has a slow car. I could at least afford to buy a used sohc motor <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/hehe.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':hehe:'> <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'> <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sneaky.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':pissed:'>
Adam H on FA has a pretty well built sohc turbo and is a DIE HARD KA lover. Even HE admits he wouldn't do it again.
Save yourself the money and just get a dohc or an SR. You aren't going to prove anything that hasn't been disproven before. Sorry. <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':('>

im with hippo on this one... if your gonna do it was KA get the dual cams... BUT if you want to disprove people and gain respect, why don't you get a geo engine, somehow turn it around and rig a transmission to it, and make some power out of that, if you did that you'd disprove people, and i'd consider you to be a bad man.. but just trying to do it with 1 less cam, and after other people have done it... eh.. no fun

full machine work??? what are you jibber jabbing about? carbs and 300-350hp with no turbo... im guessing your gonna put detroit v8 iron in? if so its been done before on tons of cars, quite a few nissans (mainly the old Z cars) and at least one S13 Hacthback
--- had to add that if you do put a non aluminum v8 in there, well your handling has went to shit.. even if you did fork out major cash for aluminum it would still limit your car to basically straight line... that is compared to what it was. it will still handle better than a truck.

No, he means the SOHC KA. It's been done before, Nissan Motorsports even sells carb kits. I've seen pretty damn good numbers off of it too. As far as 300-350, I don't know about that high...I'd possibly give you 300 at most...but it you do it, you'd have some crazy ass shit.
