I don't know anything about wiring, and I'm at school with no garage or tools.
Have any of you ever relocated this harness? This is really really bad, for me at least.
:(

what answer?

go to store, buy soldering iron and shrink tube (and maybe some new wiring), fix harness, relocate.

This issue comes up at least once a week. Donate some money to Zilvia and maybe I'll be motivated enough to do a writeup.

eh. not that big of a deal.

solder back together or even extend the wires...

After you've soldered the wires back together, get rid of the fender liners, and re-route the harness to prevent further problems. There are plenty of threads about how to prevent this very thing.

Thanks for all the help. My wheels stick out past the fenders now, but I really hope it's from body roll when I still had my stock wheels, and not from the wires melting. I found this http://www.sillbeer.com/fenderharness.php, I'm going to do it next weekend. For now, I'll try pulling out some fuses so there's no electricity going through the wires, so I can hook up the battery to get home next weekend.

theres enough room right where it is.. just fix thoes few wires and push and zip tire the harness up higher..

cut the wires a couple wires at the time and pull them into the engine bay and re solder, repeat until you finish the whole thing

yeah fcking dedication...:loco:

Anyway...easy fix saving nothing got fried (check fuses). Check out the colors you need order up some wire in the same to do it factory like. Cut and reroute outside the wheel well.

I just lowered myself some more...don't know yet if i have to lose my wheel well panels...

When I hit the railroad tracks tomorrow I will know :). SUVs slow down for them I take them at full speed...my rear end even gets off the ground I think sometimes ;)

I am going gradually pick up the speed from what the po-po says over the next week each morning.

LOL thats nothing. My wheel fell of and melted all the wires in the harness into one mass of copper. And when I say all the wires, I mean ALL the wires. I had to redo the whole harness in the dark. Took me 3 hours.

FTW! unless you are super slammed :loco: ... then you best clear everything out of your wheel wells.

wtf CUT
are you all stupid?

Take off your fender, adn all the trim from under your steering column down. There is a big white box, take the big ass connector off, and the connectors goign up to the steering colum.
Pull it out through the boot behind the fender that your harness is going from. Reroute over your fender intot he engine bay, or in the fender rail and put it back in.

Jesus
thats like 40 wires to cut and resolder
