About the R33, I have no idea.

Although the swap, I don't know that much about Skyline engines, but over at unstable-hybrids, they installed an RB20DET into an S13. here is the link (http://www.unstable-hybrids.com/rb20DETinstall.html). it also says that the RB25DET would be similar. I wasnt even aware of an RB26DET, i thought they only came in TT. There have been a few RB20s in S13 that I have seen. it all depends on what you want out of a car.

I think unbalanced is what he was looking for.

Imbalanced is a word. It's not a word to describe any generation of Skyline GT-R, though.

The english language allows it's user's to "make up" new words, so yes that is a word

maybe he was just talking about the front-rear weight distribution... that's all I can think of for "unbalanced" (imbalanced)... but that's kind of retarded because very few cars have a true 50/50 weight dist.

Kitahara

Inbalanced? That must be refering to the front-to-rear weight distribution. I don't believe the Skyline GTR is balanced as well as the Silvia, but I'm pulling that out of my ass. If you think about it, it's logical because the RB26DETT is a heavy engine and four wheel drive makes it even heavier with more of the weight near the front.

Forget about swapping in the RB26DETT and doing a single turbo conversion unless you have 12k+ waiting. You'll probably break your engine mounts anyways within a year.

RB25DET... now that's more of an option and I have contemplated it as well. I probably won't do it though because I think it's a bit more time and money investment than I want. It is not a direct bolt in because you need custom engine mounts and you will probably need to upgrade to an electric fan to save space. It's still a project, and there would be a decent amount of wiring work necessary too. Oh not to mention that the cold side intercooler piping/intake manifold would require that you modify the hood in order for it to fit. Someone on this forum did this swap but I forgot who... there were some nice pictures... good luck sourcing engine mounts for a good price

All Skylines from the early '80s to '01 are R3x's. There was an R30 and an R31 with no GT-R model available on either chassis. The letter changed to "V" for the new car... the Infiniti G35 is a V35 chassis.

There are letters before the R, just like on our S-chassis cars. The FJ20-powered Skyline RS Turbo was a "DR30". The R32 GT-R was actually "BCNR32".

Also, the R32 GTS-t had an RB20DET. The RB25DE didn't get a "T" until the R33 GTS25-t.
