Well, I am pretty much brand new to the whole ecu chipping deal. I have done some research however, but I am still a bit vague on what is exactly needed to get my ecu chipped.
I do know I need an ecu (common sense), but I also learned you need to soldier an adaptor of sort to fit a chip in order to work. Can anyone give me a run down on what is needed exactly (equipment and such) on getting my ecu prepared to fit a chip (looking into purchasing one from Horsham. But other options are welcomed)
My setup:
- CA18DET
- Stock block unopened engine
- SR T25 turbo ( .64 turbine housing)
- No BOV
- Stock MAF (will be purchasing a Z32 in the near future)
- 8 psi stock with no boost controller (I have a ball and spring turbosmart one waiting to be installed)
- Stock side mount
- Stock fuel system
- 3inch exhaust (2.5 inch downpipe, 3 inch high flow and stainless exhaust all the way back)
- HKS induction cone
I did do some searching on here and came up with a little info here and there, but nothing seemingly concrete. I have also emailed Horsham, but since I am sure he is quiet busy, I probably wont hear back from him for a few days maybe.
Thanks, Chris.
