KA-T setup for sale:

I'm located in Baltimore, Md. I WILL ship, but it will be expensive ($3-500ish) and tacked onto the sale price.

I hate to sell it, i've put sooooo much into it. The engine has been nothing but absolutely reliable, but I need money, and have a lot of obligations.

I will edit the post later if the clutch is also available with the setup. The clutch is a competition 7.5" twin plate with flywheel.

The clutch retails for $1400, and is garaunteed to hold 800ish whp. This clutch is AMAZING. Clutch and flywheel combined only weigh 19.5lbs. (factory flywheel weighs 24ish lbs. alone)

I would rather sell this as a whole, but I will part for the right $$.

Comes with a factory transmission
Motor has under 10k miles on it, oil changed every other event (motul full synthetic). Compression just checked @ 155psi +/- 3psi across the board.
Turbo has under 500 miles on it
Clutch has under 500 miles on it

Here's the mod list:

MA-Motorsports built engine

- Wiseco forged pistons 9.5:1 CR, .020" oversized

- Balanced crank

- 3 angle valve job

- fully rebuilt head

- OEM bearings

- Nissan Gasket set

- ARP head studs

- Oil pan modified for 5/8" oil return

- Custom fitting welded for turbo water coolant supply

Crank pully has 6" 60-2 toothed wheel for Electrmotive ignition system, or full stand alone. Should work with any stand alone compatible with hall effect setup.

The distributor hole has been plugged with a freeze plug (can be removed to retrofit a distributor)

GT3076R nicknamed GT30R, T3 non-GT 4bolt exhaust housing, .63 a/r, 4" shroud ported inlet (full spool around 3-3200rpms)

Turbo comes plumbed in with oil and and water.

Precision 780cc p/min fuel injectors

Custom Top feed fuel rail, -8 AN male fitting on back side, -6 on the front side

-6 AN line to connect feed or return on fuel rail to the stock filter (w/ a barbed to -6 adapter) or an adjustable FPR

Totally stripped down of all factory crap (no EGT, no IACV, no vacuum bizzareness)

Greddy VSPL intercooler custom mounted upside down under the core support comes w/ brackets.

custom intercooler piping to mate turbo to IC and IC to throttle body, all Tbolt clamps

Tanabe transmission bushing kit.

Oil filter sandwitch with integrated thermostat, has -8 AN fittings welded for an oil cooler, or whatever you want.

MA-Motorsports log manifold

MA-Motorsports down pipe

38mm Tial knock off waste gate (1bar/14.7psi spring) with spare diaphragm

5 zigen 80mm rocket Exhuast to mount to S13 and downpipe (no cat)

K2rd stainless steel clutch line

With this seutp, when I went to the dragstrip to tune, I ran a 12.7 @ 118mph with a 2.7 60ft. I grannied it through the first 2 gears like I was taking off from a stop light next to a cop with a car made of cocaine. So needless to say I was shifting around 3000rpms, and not on the throttle untill low 3rd gear, then i'd mash the throttle.

That's my engine/turbo setup for sale. I listed the Compression ratio wrong in the ad. The pistons ARE 8.5:1, NOT 9.5:1 as listed.

Thank you!

up for a bad ass motor. I've seen this car lay down some serious smoke at many US drift events. Its the real deal.

ps. i heard the tranny that was recently donated to this motor at VIR was my old old tranny. It came out of a nicely driven 240. =]

 GL to Matt's sale and its future potential owner.

Nice car. Very cheap price. I'd jump on it but I just got a really good deal on a KA powered AE86.

^^ DOOD

Precision 780cc p/min fuel injectors

Custom Top feed fuel rail, -8 AN male fitting on back side, -6 on the front side

Yes, as Nick said, comes with fuel rail, injectors, and one -6 an line to mount in the engine bay (feed or return, depends on how you have it setup). So you'd need a fuel computer, and fuel pump, and that's about it.

I'll even help get a base map setup with my settings as the car runs now. Or if you go electromotive ECU, i'll give you my maps.

i'm curious about numbers.. has the car been dyno'd? stock rods?

LookOut-Matt
11-05-2006, 10:39 AM
car was not dynoed. It was run @ the track for tuning, I have all the data logs still (I think..) it was tuned to run a very conservative 11.0:1 AFR across the board, and a very conservative timing map.

Yes it has stock rods, the motor was only ever spun to 7k rpms and had no problem destroying 265 tires in 4th gear drifts.

All the machine work was done by AHM in baltimore. They're the ONLY machine shop we outsource to. In the 4 years of dealing with them building the engines and us (ma-motorsports) tuning them; we've had ONE motor blow, and that was Vaughn 'JR' Gittin's (falken mustang driver) because he broke his oil cooler and drove 3/4 of a lap full bore with no oil pressure. So their quality is absolutely incredible

Side note bump: I really like how you ran you spark plugs to the opposite side of the bay, I think I may figure out a way to do that when I finally get my Ka-T rolling.

^^ Dual coils ftw, buy this motor someone Matt's beat the hell out of it and it runs like a top.

LookOut-Matt
01-19-2007, 09:02 AM
that's part of the stand alone fuel and ignition setup. It's a distributorless ignition, it utilizes 2 GM coils and a mag sensor that goes on the crank pulley.

just wandering how much PSI are you running?

LookOut-Matt
01-20-2007, 09:25 AM
right now and always has run directly off of the wastegate @ 14.7psi
