About getting an auto, tell your parents the benefits of manual over auto. You will regret getting auto, and it will be a waste of money getting an auto-manual swap, you might as well juss gte the manual now.
About the pics ill get some soon, I would recommend the H/B but thats just me, the coupe is the lightest of all of them. That would be the only major diff, and the gauges. So its mainly up to looks.

get a coupe if you want the best looks (in my opinion) or get a hatchback if you want to be able to carry anything more than a backpack in the trunk (slight exaggeration...). oh, and do all you can to convince your parents of the merits of the 5 speed, but if you can't don't fret. just save your pennies for an SR swap and get the 5 speed at the same time. problem solved.

oh yeah, the SR is the SR20DET, it came in the JDM silvias and 180sx's, they come turbocharged stock and make anywhere from 205 w/the red top(older version) to i think 220 with the blacktops, they fit in the 240's, and a lot of the people have them int heir cars, i dont, but im going to put one in a Datsun 510 soon...
