As many of you know, most companies in Japan do not actually produce their own parts, but actually contract out the work to factories who produce the products for them. First Molding is the factory utilized by many Japanese tuning companies for their carbon and frp parts. ***EDIT*** There are no mininum amounts for these hoods. This pricing will be good until the end of the year when we renegotiate pricing on their products. I will try and update the pricing on our website to reflect these prices for ease of ordering, I'll update this thread with links when it's done.

Material Definitions:
FRP-Fiberglass frame and hood. Good for those looking to save weight and want to paint the hood their desired color.
CFRP-Fiberglass frame and carbon fiber hood. Will be a lighter then the FRP version. This is your classic carbon fiber hood.
Full Carbon-Carbon fiber frame and carbon fiber hood. Lightest of all the hoods.

All Prices are shipped within the continental United States. They are the same for all hoods, regardless of vehicle.
FRP-$750.00
CFRP-$1050.00
Full Carbon-1650.00
There is an optional aluminum netting that can be installed for an additional $65.00

Figured I'd throw these in as well for the RPS13.
FRP Rear Diffuser-$650.00
CFRP Rear Diffuser-$875.00

To order, please call us at 310-327-4676 and ask for John or Giff. Make sure you let us know you're referring to this post so that we get you the right price.

These are very high quality products produced by one of Japan's top manufacturers. Please do not post Seibon this or Vis that in this thread...the quality of those two companies does not compare to the quality that First Molding has consistently delivered, which is why they are chosen to make the products for Japan's top tuners.

Ever heard of Google? If not, try it, it's full of wonderful answers. For example if you were type in "First Molding" and click on Google Search, it would bring up a page of results. The very first result is written in Japanese. This is a clue, pay attention. By clicking on that link you are brought to this page. http://www.firstmolding.com/ Now, granted, you may not read Japanese, but neither do I. So by randomly selecting links on that page and researching, I was able to find this page. http://www.firstmolding.com/fm-aero/RPS13_180SX/180sx.htm In short, do a little research on your own, before asking questions.

I guess I can't expect too much intelligence out of you, though. Not when you have Street Racer listed in your signature likes it's something to be proud of.

Any way to fit the diffuser on an S13 coupe?

I'm sure it can be done, but as to the extent of the modification I am unsure.

updated info on group buy. through the amazing negotiation skills of our Japanese staff led by Ichikawa-san, the price that we were getting for these hoods at a group buy price we can attain until the end of the year with no threshold purchasing. so now when you buy we will submit the order and they will go to production.

lemme begin by saying that i love you. finally quality parts in the US..First Molding not only makes all their parts, they wind tunnel test a lot of it as well. im not ineterested in the hood, however im interested in the s14 zenki half bumper. i have one now, but the cocksuckers who worked on my car at a body shop cracked it, and put a big hole in it. Lemme know if you would be able to get a half bumper for me :) :) :). BTW, make a GB for it.. lip choices for s14 zenki is quite limited, im sure many a guy on these forums would appreciate it if u offered the half bumper.

the zenki hood is completely different from the kouki hood. i don't even know what it's made out of, but it is much more expensive. you're looking at a groupbuy price of $1400.00 shipped.

i'll try and get more details on it and update.

the product is not cheap, you couldn't buy it in japan for this price and have it imported here and shipped to your door, we're selling at ~$200 under our website list, which is already discounted from our standard list.

The CFRP hoods are 102900 yen. Converted at a 115 exchange rate(which is about what you'd get for a wire transfer) you're looking at $895.00 retail. Add in domestic freight to our warehouse in Yokohama from Osaka it's about $30.00 so you're at $925.00. Then you have ocean freight at say $165.00 per cubic meter, a hood is probably about 0.4cbm, so that's another $66.00 making it $991.00. Then you have customs duties which are 3% of the declared value, so that would be $26.85 additional, total is now $1017.85. Then there is the port fee charged which is normally 120% of ocean freight charge, so add another 79.20 making it $1097.05. Then there is shipping from port to our warehouse, but we'll just forget about that. Then there is domestic shipping for the hood which we ship truck freight and fully insured, let's say that's $100.00, so $1197.05. And all of this is if you ship via ocean freight and get the kind of freight rates that we get by shipping so much. If you air freighted this hood in you're looking at around $700.00, so hood price is now $1600.00, and that might not include customs documentation fee which is normally around $125.00.

Long story short, yes the prices are higher then most group buys, but it must be compared to group buys on equal terms.

thanks for the compliment. do you have any pics of it on your car, i'd like to have something better then the first molding pics which are very subpar. they also have a few different version so i want to be sure that i get you the price on the right one.
