Would these be too bright with H4 clear housing headlights (35w 3000k)? I did a H4 conversion, and the housings just have clear glass. And how much brighter would these be over say Sylvania SilverStars? (what I have now)

hahahaha, a LOT more! my friend went H4 convo, but he got the ricey one with the stupid projector lens...it was still bright because afterall, its still HIDs...then one of his lens cracked so he replaced them with the regular clear units and now, they are brighter than ever...
my other buddy has this exact same kit on his 86 from the GB you guys did on club4ag...these kits are nice...very nice output and straight forward plug n play (except for 86s apparently :hahano: ) however, he got the halogen high kit and not to bag on your product, but the high beams suck really bad...they look like daytime running lights, literally...he figured that you couldnt go wrong with getting high beams for an extra $5, but we didnt anticipate that they would suck so bad...but now, when he sees cops, he just flips his high beams to not attract attention with the bright hids...id opt for the telescoping (if the slider doesnt hit anything that is) or the bi-xenon...but seeing as how s14s have two separate high beams, this tidbit is more for s13s...other than that gripe, good kits so far...
and it is piece of mind that these kits are made in USA with one year warranty...

Not a problem, Ill get that picture to you as soon as I can. The Bi-Xenons are basically two hid bulbs on one base. So you have a total of 4 ballast on the car; 2 per side.

What's the difference in lighting for getting the 35w HID vs. 3000k 35w HID?
And if I get the halogen high beams, do they just look low in comparison to the HIDs, or do they really just have a lower output than regular halogen high beams?

Im sorry I dont see what you mean by the difference between lighting for 35w HID vs. 3000k 35w HID. 3000k Means the color temperature which is golden yellow.
The Halogen Highbeams honestly look weird when you compare it to your HIDs. The H4-2 Halogen Highbeam is basically for people who still want something in their highbeam, anything. lol
Let me know if you have more questions. I'd be happy to answer them.

I was confused about the different temps, but I did some more research and figured it out. lol Thanks. I'll get back to you on what I decide. I'm just kinda hesitant, because I have non-DOT H4 housing (clear glass) and it might be TOO bright. I don't want to blind on coming drivers...
I'm thinking about the 35w 6000k H4...

could you please explain exactly what a telescoping h4 bulb is? if i read or enterpret this right, the bi-xenon would be the best to get right? and tehn telescopic and then halogen high beam and then jsut the regular beam?

Telescoping is this small metal sliding piece that makes the one HID bulb turn into a high-beam. The bi-xenon = 2 HID bulbs (hi/low).
I'd probably just get either the single or the halogen+HID...I don't see why you'd need something brighter than the low beam HID if they're as good as they seem to be.

I will like to keep low and high beams on a S-13.
I have the fierostore housings (glass) with H4 bulbs.
I dont like the bluish tint, currently have gold ion bulbs and want a hid closer to that color.
What kit do I need to buy?

No worries. if you dont mind having halogen high beams i recommend you going with H4-2. If you would like HID high beams, then I recommend our bixenon H4-4 or Telescopic H4-3. the color your looking for is around probably 3900k. Let me know if you have anymore questions.

Thanks for your responce, now, what would be the shipping to 00921 via USPS?
Also, compared to regular filament type bulbs, how much wattage these lights pull?
I currently have 100w/80w bulbs, just checking how much, if any, I need to upgrade my wiring and electrical system.
Also, my high beams keep the low beams turned on, is there a drawback with this kit?

alright ive been asking a few people, and havent gotten a response.... im doing a kouki conversion, painfully its still not on the road, i havent wired up the headlights in hopes that an HID kit will still plug in...
the old headlight harness is for a H4 bulb, the new headlight has a H1 bulb.. will this be plug and play still? or can you swap the plug harnesses from ur kits so that it can be? please let me know, i want to get these asap

Hey,
Shipping to anywhere is the 50 US states is included in the GB price. The wattages on these kits are 35w so you should not have to worry about melting any of your wiring. We only recommend that you change your fuses for whatever your putting the hids in. For example for low beams, they are 10a just change them to 15a. As for your high beams keeping the low beams turned on, it should not be a problem. And if you get bi-xenon, :coolugh:
Thanks,
Alan Long

Yes this will still be plug and play. Basically our H1 kits have two open slots so you can just plug in the positive and negative and youll be fine. Let me know if that answers your question.

has anybody tried the H4 kit with E-Code lamps? With regular bulbs, E-Code lamps have a very sharp cutoff, for in Europe the lamps don't divert light up at road signage (their signs are lighted). I never really considered getting a H4 "conversion kit," for I've seen the way they glare. But if a HID kit would light the same pattern as these 65W Halogens, I think it would be very nice...

I'm actually thinking about it. I JUST (today) got some Hella H4 housings, so I could test it out...but I don't really have $160 to spend on this.
Decisions, decisions.
Mr_240sx, those look nice. That actually helps in my decision. Right now I have the ebay clear H4 housings as well. I think getting the HID with these Hellas, would be hella nice. :)

Hey Serebros,
Your H6 is a sealed beam setup which basically means that the bulb cannot be changed. You would have to get a H4 conversion kit. Usually you can find it on ebay but what out customers usually due to avoid the wait is run the nearest kragen, autozone, pepzones, etc. Its usually around $10-20 for the pair. Let me know if you have anymore questions.
Thanks,
Alan

are the h4 housings from those autoparts store any good? i want to know before i jump into HID conversion
Well they are pretty decent. They will do the job fine with HIDs. What you would want to look for is H4 housings with a minimal amount of lines on the front. The light output actually looks more crisp that way. Other than that any H4 housings will do to convert to HIDs. Let me know if that helps!

basically, the higher the wattage the more lumens. For the s14 kouki headlights you can choose either one. All of them are bright but the higher the wattage, the better the vision. the picture of the kouki above has a 50w kit on it. BTW the owner of that car already swapped out the front end with a s15 so pics with that up shortly. 35w kits are already good enough though. LMK if that helps.

The Zenkis are H4. 9003 is pretty much another name for it. Your friend may have H3 bulbs if he happened to purchase some aftermarket headlights. Let me know if that helps! Thanks!

For the poster and people proudly displaying their newfound lighting, I think for the sake of the people interested in the PERFORMANCE of the lighting, I think you guys should say:
Make/Model
headlights (modified or stock)
Name the K of the HID being displayed
Take some pics of the actual headlight housing
Take pics of a FLAT wall, with good pics of the cutoff
Just a suggestion, it would save alot of POINTLESS questions and requests.
Just a suggestion, I know it would make me a little more interested.

no problem at all, your order should be at your door shortly, USPS takes a while to update their system but give it about a day or so and you should be able to see the correct status.
