Im getting some coilovers i have a s13. I have 18x8.5 and 18x9.5 rear wheels. So ill need some wheel clearance and ide like to set the car low right on the wheel .It will be a daily driven car no drifting maby street racing or a little fun if its safe. I do not want to pay a bunch of money for coil overs. I have seen ksport and megan have decent prices so im thinking of those .If you have a beter suggestion please say so if not, im wandering what you guys think is bettter between the two. thanks

i have ksports on my s13 on SE 15" and i like to ride low and its my daily driver. i got ksports because i hear from a friend of a friend that works for megan that they crap out after about two months (sweek like a mother f**ker). i got mine from jlbmotorsports.com and i got then for 600.00 new thats with out shipping local pick up. oh and the guys that work there are cool as hell they also use what they sell on there rides the ksport company is in tempe, AZ. but all in all ksports is the way too go for the more bang for your buck hope this helps you choice.

I have Megan's Street Coilovers and I like them, but I wish I would have waited to get better ones.

Megans, being twin tube, I would go for a monotube. Even an Inverted Monotube. With Twin Tube you actually get Dampening "FADE" similar to Brake Fade, caused from long periods of use or extreme driving. This is due to the fact that the Damping Fluid is in contact with the Nitrogen/Air allowing it to emulsify at a higher rate. With Monotube There is a reduced chance of boiling or cavitation because the damping fluid is ALWAYS under pressure.Twin Tube also doesn't start dampening until around 3mm-5mm of travel whereas Monotubes will dampen with LESS than 1mm of travel. Meaning they are always dampening.

I'd save up and get some NICE monotubes. I think Ksport are mono but I have no experience, nor does anyone I know, with them.

Hoped this helped.

I agree that you should wait and buy something you'll want to keep... I had an opportunity to get almost free Megans, but turned it down, and found my Tanabe Super Sevens :)

I have Ksports on two of my daily driven cars, and they feel fine to me. I dont do any serious racing or drifting in those cars, but for just a daily driven car i think they are fine. just my thought.

If you guys read, in a nutshell he could care less about performance.

With that said, I suggest purchasing the megan streets. Should give you enough adjustability and ride comfort.

So to answer your question, MR > Ksports.

and just a lil tidbit of info.. the shop i worked at last we had multiple people try returning megans one guy has his d2s rebuilt 3 times in 14 months there good when there working but durablility is terrible. and megan squeek alot of times after about a month or so. lots of complaints about that. BUT even tein and JIC and cusco have there downfalls with the same problems JIC is like rolling the dice you never know how long there going to last and tiens have rust problems and perch rings break. so no coilover is perfect.. cept hipermax never heard any complaints about them or the cuscos. heard good things about aragostas (sp?) but never really delt with them myself 4k for a set of coilovers is a lil silly.

hmm thats odd cause I've been rolling on my Megans for over a yr and its my daily driver and have yet to experience any problems, not even the squeaking.

Rocking Megans here, I've gotten the squeak before. For daily driving they're fine. I'm ready to upgrade to something better though.

I have Megans on mine and did some research before a I bought them. I know they're not the top of the line but I like them have no problems and no squeeks or anything. They're also made by the same company that makes Apexi's coilovers think its called BC or something like that. So instead of paying like 1500 for the Apexi's I payed 900 and got the Megan sticker instead of the Apexi one

totally agree with ya!

the durability of ur coilovers also depends on how often u drive ur car, how hard u drive ur car and road conditions like pot holes and etc...in my opinion.
