I have decided after lots of thought and sorrow to part with my beloved S14. I realize that this great hobby and car just cost me way too much money, and as my focus has changed, I need to part with her. If you add all this stuff up I would cost a small fortune..including about $6500 just in the built block itself, but I'm willing to part with her for 14,000$ negotiable. I realize this is a lot of money, but considering all you are getting, you wouldn't be able to build a car of this caliber for double the money.
I forgot to put into the title, but this engine, with the increase in bore is actually a 2.2L.

UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE

Many of you that have sent me PM's really want the car completed and running before you buy. So I sourced some killer parts for the head which you can read about in post. Will pick the parts up likely this week and get to work on reassembly of the head.
Will be sold as a running chassis COMPLETE for around 17,000, but that depends on how much will go into getting the head and rest of the engine to complete. This motor will be a fully built, race ready 2.2L SR.

I have a dumb question, but I would still like to ask. Would you be open to some sort of payment deal(you could of course hold on to the title) ? If you are open to the idea please let me know. I prob. already know your answer but im still currious.

Thank you.

Hey...well it depends on what your payment deal would be. If by payment deal, you would make payments on the car and i hold on to it until it's paid...that would be a possiblity. But if by payment deal, you get the car, drive the car....then sorry, but no.

If you are really interested in the car, I'm sure we can work something out. Again, i really don't think you will find a cleaner, better cared for and maticulously put together/maintained S14.

thanks for your reply

I thought so. With out taking a loan out it would take a good amount of time to pay off $14,000. I dont think you would want to wait that long. And I dont want to take another loan out. I just paid my daily driver off. You have a very nice car and id love to take it off your hands.

Sorry for the confusion. To clarify, last year this car made 430 whp with GT2871R 0.86AR, JWT ECU, Z32 maf, nismo 740cc injectors. AT that point, i wanted to take the car to the next level and began to acquire parts to build the engine that was in the car at that time. I had bought pistons, sleeves and a turbo, but the built motor you see above became available to me from a local fellow nissan nut. I bought that motor which we assembled(bottom end) and were in the process of deciding exactly what componenets we were going to put into the head. But then I bought a new reliable daily driver, my focus changed and decided to sell the S14. So as of now, the car sits in my garage with all the above listed components, but the engine is NOT in the car. The head components need to be sourced, and head needs to be bolted to the block. (head parts are maybe 1200$), but I don't want to spend more money on something I am going to sell..and besides I'm afraid if I finish it, I will want to keep it.

Anyway, hope this clears up some confusion.
thanks for the compliments guys. It really is hard for me to sell this thing. i was looking through pictures of the previos build and how far the car has come and it brings back a lot of good memories.

Enough of the sappy SHI*. If you buy this car you will have a ride
that is ready to hit 1000hp without much difficulty.

ou1848
10-27-2006, 06:45 PM
Sepulchral

I don't think I want to sell the extra block seperately. I'd rather just sell it with the car to make it an ever sweeter deal.

If things don't work out with selling the car, I might consider selling the old block.

Thanks for the PM's guys
I appreciated the interest

i urge u to finish the car, pic of the adapter plate for z32 trans? how will trans mount to chassis? and what about the custom driveshaft?

10-27-2006, 10:13 PM
As requested...her is a pic of the adapter plate.
This particular pic is of one of the first plates made by mazworx.

I am at work right now but I can take some pics of tranny and adapter tomorrow that I test fitted in the car.
The tranny mounts to the block with this
http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b37/ou1848/adapterplate.jpg

and then there is a special trans mount that was made by mazworx also that will bolt to the stock location in the car:

you can see the mount here which is the prototype. The one I have is very nice black powdercoated.

yes there is a custom driveshaft from mazworx also that of course will come with this car.

Will get more pics for you tomorrow.
for the record, those are not underbody, or interior pics of MY car.

For your viewing pleasure.

here is a crappy video of when the car was at 413whp and ran
12.08 at 124mph on street tires.

This was the last time the car went to the track before the motor was pulled and the new setup planned. A few days after this, we dynoed at 427whp and broke the tranny. That was the 3rd tranny that had broken and that was the motivating factor to develop the Z32 adapter kit.

The other thing I would consider doing would be to sell the car without the motor or Z32 tranny setup, but including everything else...as well as turbo, injectors, maf etc. Basically you have to provide your own MOTOR/trans only and you would have a complete ride. You can buy an SR with cut harness for probably 1200. If anybody is interested the car in this configuration, it would be for sale for 10,000.

let me know

give u an hks gt2530 turbo and stock o2 housing/sensor and $500 for your gt2871r turbo & megan o2 housing/sensor... the hks turbo is good for about 350 to the wheels and pretty rare and expensive, 0.86 Exhaust and not sure of the compressor side. its a little smaller than the gt2871r and it fits like stock, Exactly like stock http://www.bizlocker.com/sr/ for pics of its fitment

do you know the PPG color code for black pearl?

thanks for the replies.

No trades for the turbo, unless the entire car gets parted out. REason being (not that you're not trustworthy), but I know the history of my turbo and if I'm planning on putting the entire thing together, I don't want to be stuck with another turbo that I don't know that much about.

I would be willing to sell the shortblock...but again I am looking to sell the entire package first. I'm going to reassemble everything and if it still does not sell then the car will be parted out.

In terms of the PPG code, the paint is the same off of a 92-95 civic EX. That was my first car and we picked a black pearl from ppg with blue/gold pearl to match it. My body guy has the paint code, but I've not spoken to him in a while. I wll try to get a hold of him and get a code. The tint is 21% and I'm sure on the brand. It was professionally tinted at place called Zeibart here in Cleveland.

for the record, it is a Greddy O2 housing NOT a megan. It has a splitter in the middle splitting the exhaust flow between the wastegate and turbine which the Ebay and Megan brands do not have.

Wow good stuff. However raising the price in this community is a bad thing. Every one here almost a low baller. Try supraforums. Those guys have money and some of them look for cars like this to daily drive instead of their Supras. Good luck with it.

I realize that people try to lowball all the time but I will not let it go for less than what I think it's worth. I figure by posting it, people can check it out, see the quality, watch it get done and hopefull by word of mouth somebody who realizes the caliber and value will come along. If not...oh well, I'll either sell it on supra forums or just sell the car without the 2.2L SR and drop a KA or bone stock SR into it and still sell it for less. The motor is worth a LARGE chunk of coin. I wish those looking to build their motor would do some pricing...cuz getting custom stuff done is crazy$$$

thanks for the compliment though.

well thanks to all that have replied and have checked on the status of the car. I have a pending sale and I'm sure the new owner will be very happy. As an aside though, the motor and Z32 tranny will NOT be sold in the deal. So both of these items will still be available.

so whats the prices going to be?

ou1848
12-01-2006, 07:50 PM
In terms of the motor and tranny...I haven't come up with a complete price yet. The motor still needs some head work to get assembled, so I can sell it as is, or get the work done and sell the motor complete. The engine as is right now would be about 5000$. Remember this includes all the parts/engine work and 80% assembled of a brand new 2.2L SR.

The tranny kit will be 1300$ (plus shipping) including the 300zx tranny, the Mazworx tranny adapter/shifter as well as the drive shaft.

thanks
