i just went to the track, with my drag radials. nothing but wheel hop off the line. i was wondering what can eliminate or help my wheel hop? I already got the SPL subframe bushings and megan coilovers.

thanks

To ELIMINATE wheel hop with your drag RADIALS i recommend.Traction Rods and a SPELL CHECK these items put together should help you off the line.

I still had wheel hop after I put in subframe bushings, so I did diff bushings and that really did the trick.

you can get the SPL subframe busing eliminators that will help a bit more. Its a bitch to install compared to the busings, but its worth it.

I've got the same question acutally... anyone else see a big difference with diff bushings? It's just the two under the diff right?

i think some of you are mixing up bushings with spacers and vice versa.

A welded diff, solid motor/tranny mounts and, clutch would help out.

i hope thats sarcasm from Zar.

None of the above will do MUCH for his problem. Start with replacing diff/subframe bushings with aftermarket or even metal. If adjustable, soften the rear coilovers for racing. JMO

Actually you want to get rid of your coilovers for drag racing. Too stiff, otherwise adjust your settings to the softest you can for maximum squat.

True. The springs won't get any softer but you should be able to adjust the dampers to kill the oscillation. That's what they are for.

what? SOFTEN the rear dampening and lower your PSI...

ok not be a dick but I am naturally...

Everything so far is wrong, except for the part )reple( about setting dampening lower...

If you are seriously trying to drag race your car get a set of stock shocks and springs that you can run in the back when you drag the car...

Make sure you REMOVE the STRUT BRACE if you have one, this is what seems to cause the majority of wheel from my experience on s chasis when people try to do everything...

from them, suframe (metal) spacers are not going to eliminate wheel hop, its going to make the rear end stiffer if anything, new bushing on the otherhand will help support a better response and wieght transfer to the shocks...once again as long as they are not overly stiff.

On my old drag car that ran 11s with only 350whp i took off the rear and front sway bars as well so the car acts like a sort of water bed in transfer wieght back and down onto the DRs during the run...

Hope this helps.

in what f-ing universe does this work?

must have really sticky tires.

you ALWAYS loosen the sprinsg or spring rate down, and drop the rebound/stiffness of the shock / nitrogen /gas so it can sqwat with the least amount of replash or bounce...

hahah. And so ill some 300/however tall/18 slicks if you have the power to turn them.

But stricktly for drag racing why not go with a smaller, lighter wheel with a good slick?

checkout drag240sx.com There is a lot of info on threre and they won't give you a hard time for trying to drag race a 240.
