My friend needs a stock exhaust for his 240sx but wants a brand new one from the factory. Anyone know where I can find one in SoCal for a decent price? He keeps getting noise violations with his Exmag on his ka24de so he wants to buy a new factory exhaust. I said used but he's pushing for new, so anyways anyone know?

just ask any dealership. You know your friend will be paying a premium for a crappy exhaust. It really isn't worth it. How about finding out where the vibration from the exhaust is comming from and get it fixed. Is the exhaust hitting the car? Loose bolts rattling the exhaust?

I agree. The only place I could think of buying a brand new stock exhaust is at a Nissan dealership. I'm pretty sure it will be expensive. Assuming that an exmag is an aftermarket exhaust, any used stock exhaust would perform the same as a brand new exhaust. Looks like your friend is more worried about the noise violations more than the quality of the exhaust.

i think the noise is coming from his head, i would say a couple of loose screws. if you really consider him your friend help him out and dont let him pull a

Sometimes people just have to learn the hard way. Tell him to get the stock exhaust at the dealership.

yeah, should be looking at the classifieds for used exhausts, they are cheap and functional and i have one laying around somewhere, but if he really insists on new, ask performance nissan at duarte

Where do people come up with these questions?

No offense, I am speechless.

Just to give you an idea of how ridiculous it would be to buy a brand new OEM exhaust...

retail on the muffler ONLY is $399.00. Of course I would sell it for cheaper but for the price of a full catback OEM exhaust you could buy one of the more expensive aftermarket performance exhausts. If you must have OEM replacement either buy used or contact your local muffler shop for cheaper options.

It's not me alright. I told them there are plenty of other alternatives with smaller piping than the RS*R Exmag but I can't change the fact he wants a NEW OEM catback. Honestly I would attempt a trade for a smaller diameter exhaust but that's not me it's him.

For the love of god, smack your friend upside his head and tell him he's an idiot.

Any recommendations for an NA exhaust?

Put a big resonator on the ExMag's piping, and make sure there aren't any leaks. That should make it decently quiet.
