after about 2 weeks of fighting with the car, the engine runs but it will not idle. i can rev on it however high i want with a little sputter but the engine, as soon as i take my foot off of the throttle, dies off. a friend has told me it is strictly vaccum now. i removed the egr assembly by way of "the ultimate egr removal guide". and now the plate that is attached to the back of the head, i believe, is the problem. due to the fact that i don't have any idea where anything goes. please help if any of you guys have ever ran into this. thanks....

Ok are all of the unused fittings plugged? have you checked your IC piping for leaks? and lastly is the BOV recirced before or after the MAF?

i am in the process of trying to block off the lines but i don't know which ones i need to hook to the lines running inside of the intake (the small metal lines). the BOV is recirculated after the MAF. the boost controller is reading anywhere from -70 to -28. it is never constant always changing while the car is trying to idle. and it is idling rough as hell.

is your IAC hooked up? is it working? when you are saying you are trying to cap off everything does that mean you have caps on and ziptied or not?
inside of the intake? you mean the fittings on the throttle body?
if your bov line fpr line and wg line are hooked up cap the rest of them that is all you need

here is a pic of the plate on the back of the head. the small metal lines i speak of are running in the middle of the intake runners (4 small metal, gold colored lines). also i have the s13 model if that helps. i can show more pics if needed. thanks!
