Ok i searched the forums and couldnt find anything specific enough to what my problem is. within the first couple of minutes after start up my second gear will grind, no way around it unless i jam the clutch to the floor and very quickly nudge it in then i usually dont get a grind. ppl have been telling me oh that wat happens wen your components are cold bla hblah bla. ya well its been getting worse and worse.
Since ive had my s13 sr (bout 6 months) it hasnt happpened until recently about a month or more. i havent actually changed the fluid since the swap and my buddy told me that he was having grinding issues and once he drained the tranny oil and re-filled it, all his grinds were gone.
So im also gessing i culd have metal shavings or some bs floating around idk. so im going to try and drain and refill my fluid to see if it cures the prob. and im almost sure my syncros are fine becuz i havent beatin on my tranny that badly especially to where ive misshifted and grinded nuttin like that this shit has just started as a said about a month ago and only within first 2-10 min of running.

p.s. i also may have leaked some tranny fluid... but still doesnt make sense to pinpoint 2nd gear with the grind all other gears are perfect.. well almost.
let me know please i highly appreciate it

synchros are more then likley going. Using redline fluid might help.

same shit happened to my KA tranny before.. cold days grinded like a mofo... ever since i switched to mobil 1 75-90 gear oil my problems went away... My friends had the same prob and had same results after swapping to mobil 1 gear oil.

redline MT90 works good too

dont use shock proof... that shit takes forever to warm up... when it isnt warmed up expect to grind the shit outta your gears.

code?? i think your talking about the type of motor oil right??

yes mobil 1 75w/90 gear oil will work fine, my friend runs it in his S14sr tranny

redline MT90 will also work good

make sure you put enough gear oil too...

make sure to use gl-4 in the tranny.
