Various noises driving me nuts

#1 - Hummmmm - Not noticable when driving or with music on however very noticable when at a standstill. I just installed a fuel pump last month but only noticed this sound recently. They usually make noise when they are about to die right? could it be something else? its hard to source out but its coming from the rear.

#2 - Squeek Squeek - Only occurs when hitting bumps, Ive asked a few people in the backseat to find the source and I was told it sounds like the rear window?? this is possible because it looks like it wasn't installed very well but what else could it be?

#3 - Rattle Rattle - The cruise control button on my steering wheel rattles on deceleration, I haven't found a proper way to fix this yet. anyone else have this issue?

#4 - Rattle Rattle #2 - decelerating from 2900-2700rpm causes my exhaust to resonate, but im not sure what part. Ive already taken off a few heat shields.

#5 - BRAAaaaaaaaAaaa - When romping on the accelerator.. oh thats my intake! I <3 that sound.


Please dont respond by saying "turn up the radio" because when im trying to talk to people this is not an option and none of these noises involve my stereo.

Well they only drive me nuts when my music isnt turned up which is pretty rare.. I know I have to live with some of them but id like to find out which ones at least. the alleged window squeek is the most annoying and since im in the front seat its really hard for me to tell

i had a squeak going over bumps

turned out the original dust boots had disintegrated into little rings and were getting sucked into the shock absorber everytime they compressed

yah when i first start mine up it makes like a chirp chirp chirp chirp noise it sounds like its in the head. but once it warms up no more noise...

Alot of the squeaks and creaks are the glass. Especially if you hear it when its cold. The front windows on 240's are very gay. When the rubber seals get old they let all the glass rattle. I only have some polk audio speakers and I can rattle the mess out of them.

Walboros are loud. But I dont even notice mine anymore. I think its actually gotten quieter.

I've had several of these cars and it's just something you have to learn to live with, because it's nearly impossible to figure out what all is making noise.

My cat is fine, I just passed emissions with flying colors and all I have really is a K&N conical on the stock plastic intake. works just fine, the less shit I touch the less problems I get

The pump I got wasnt Walboro. It was from NAPA or something and not a 190-255 but stock LPH. as for the windows, its definately the rear window and im not sure if its worse when its cold ill try and pay attention to that. thanks for info

you are driving an older sports car squeeks and rattles are part of the joy relish in them my windows squeek my suspension makes noise and all the crap in my trunk bounces around when I hit bumps...it happens get used to it turn up your radio and learn to yell.

i have a squeaking noise when i decelerate or when im only on partial throttle. goes away when i give it a decent amount of gas and apply the brakes. its most noticable when i hit bumps though. i have no idea what it is and is coming behind the drivers seat maybe on the outside of the car and is more noticable after some spirited driving. no idea what it is though. also have a humming in fifth gear ONLY and valve train noise ticking lightly, maybe timing chain.

I've got the same rear window squeek, and one of my friends has an early 90's maxima with the same thing. I think it's the rubber surrounding getting old.

The RB25 transmission is the loudest thing inside my car, its incredible how noticeable it is.

Well...maybe the walbro is, that thing sounds like a loose belt!
