got a brand new exedy clutch stage 2 probally got like 50-100 miles on it. so lastnight i was drunk. super drunk. i couldn't drive. so i let my friend drive my car. i was in the other car. watching him from behind then i see him smashes off. i'm like "god damn it didn't i tell him not to do that?" so then i asked him how fast did he bring up to rpms to....and he said up to like 5x. so i'm wondering would it be okay? because when i drive...i don't speed at all. i just bring it up to 3x.

There clutch should be fine. It's not like he was dogging it for a long time.

Just continue with the breakin, and proceed to scream at your friend.

I have seen people dog a clutch right after install. I wouldn't suggest it though.

ive gotta exedy stage 2 as well. i know about 4 or 5 people that also have one and all dogged it immediately after installing it with little to no break in and still have the same clutch holding strong over a year later. this is what i did with mine. i drove it for about ~30 miles with no dumping or kicking. then proceeded to beat on it pretty bad. ive got about ~2000 miles on it now and it feels better than ever. do what u want to do, but from my experiences and others experiences, the exedy stage 2 clutch doesnt really require a break in.

i was searching info for a new clutch, and i found this, and i had a question:

i have never replased a clutch before, im 100% capable of doing it my self but i know my friends can help me if i need help. but is this clutch prety much a bolt on kit? ive seen them for like around $300 with a pressure plate, clutch disc, release bearing, and pilot bearing. but do i need a new flywheel or just need it get it machined?

and it should hold around 300 hp with plenty of abuse?

always get your flywheel machined when you replace the clutch, unles of course ur gettin a new flywheel too.

300whp...depends on what clutch... but you definately should get an aftermarket one..search up on zilvia to find out which ones have a good rep. theres a ton of threads.

thats messed up what your friend did. Right when you tell him not to smash on it he does. No respect for your car man. I say you should kick him in the balls even tho your clutch should be fine. Teach that fool a lesson. I wonder what your friend would say if he did break something.
