Hey all...Ill just get to the point. I Have a s13 Redtop Sr20det with the stock t25. I just recently as in 1 day ago replaced the stock exhaust system with a Megan racing Exhaust manifold, Megan O2 Dumpipe,Megan Flex downpipe and a megan catback on a Mckinney Motorsports testpipe. Well hooked it all back up went out for a drive and got on it...not good. As soon as i mashed it BAM 17 PSI slap. So me being scared shitless for my motor i took it easy and just troubleshooted. A friend who worked with top secret and yashio drove my car. We got on it... bam 16psi,but then he got on it and held the boost at 10 psi till 5k and then mashed it....it stayed where my MBC (Manual Boost Controller) was set 11 1/2. He is now as stumped as i am. I need to know what i need to do or what equipment i need (AVCR for example) to stop this. Please help i searched and searched to find no answers. :smash:

its probably the mbc, they arent really the most effective way to control your boost. Also did you make sure to hook it back up exactually they way you did before?

hmmm that's odd.

i ran into a similar problem as yours....sorta. i made a home depot MBC but the spring was no good so it shot up to 17psi right away. i threw that $4 pos away and got a better MBC. it was fine after that

oh yeah, i'm not saying it's your MBC because it doesn't look like you did anything to it... but the symptoms are as if the MBC is faulty.

so maybe try hooking up the vacuum straight to wastegate and don't use an MBC for now and it should boost 6psi and have no problems.

i unhooked the wastegate completely and left it open where it shouldnt boost almost at all and it still does it.
