Hey guys,

I just was installing my new Stance coils, GR+ on my S14. I Didnt make any adjustments to the rears at all, but did adjust the fronts prior to installing them onto the car. The car is completely gutted, no interior, no drivetrain and the car is LOW LOW LOW as heck. The front is sitting at an acceptable height, if there was no drivetrain, lol....but this is not where my problem is...the rear is the problem. I installed ther rear coils, and had to jack up the control arms in order to bolt up the coils, which is to be expected....there is the problem...the coils overall length was super short and while the car is still jacked up in the air, with a wheel bolted up, the wheel is tucking! The arms, etc are all flexed up too, and this is maintained when putting the car on the ground (duh) so....i tried to adjust the coils to make them higher....this is where i may be doing something wrong. I spun the collars immediately beneath the helper spring upwards hoping that would extend the unit, increasing ride height, but it seems that the only effect i have is changing the spring load...and the ride height isnt going anywhere.....i noticed there is a collar at the end of the threaded section above the base of the coil, but it seems i cant really do anyything with that! Please help me get my car higher! Ill post some pics later...its rediculous....practically on the ground :bite:

you can adjust the lower portion of the coilover. Or you may have gotten s13 coilovers.

to lenghten the body (raise the car) you have to loosen the very bottom "nut" on the threaded part, then spin the whole assembly counterclock wise, that will thread out the entire section from the lower mounting point, thus raising your car.

hahahaha, you spun the wrong collar. Who did you buy them from? Find out the stock spring distance- ex 7 inches. Buy a digital caliper and make the proper corrections. Then, spin the bottom bracket down which adjusts ride height.

I just asked where you got them from so you can find out that measurement you need.
