Bucknutty man! I definately don't think I could be that smooth on pavement at my first event (those cones are crazy confusing to me too...). Now give me a field truck and a field..... ah w/e :gives: how I am in the fields.

Nice drifting! :wavey: I think your speed was nice, just get some more wheel spin for some more smoke!

The entrance was pretty narrow, with a curb on the right side probably better safe than sorry. You were doing good all day! Sucks about your car, glad you got to drive anyway though. And you could have initiated earlier but no one will fault you for it ;)

You improved nicely all day, especially since we JB Welded your radiator in the morning. Thanks for the positive attitude and drifting through the adversity.

Don't worry too much about people nit-picking your entry. Sure, you could initiate earlier, but we set that turn up to be narrow to keep people away from the poles. You can't see that unless you are in the car, so like Mr Rogers said, better safe than sorry.

On the 19th we'll give you a little more room for speed, so you had better get signed-up!

Our Drift Buffet events are currently held at the National Orange Show fairgrounds in San Bernardino. It is a long drive from the Bay Area, but we'd be happy to see you there!

being a professional video game drifter before trying my first drift event, I was trying to get side ways real early into turns that i could not maintain and control with my car. I would suggest grip driving the course first just to learn the track and the amount of Gs you'll be feeling around the turns. Then start stepping it up by getting sideways at the apex. Then work your way up from there.

We are more than happy to have beginners. For anyone that remembers the "Land Ho!!" events we threw back in the day, we had a LOT of beginners.

The reality is that we've run the last four D1 events and multiple D1 practices. We can rent a speedway and run a private event full of pros, but that's not the idea here.

The point is for people to come drift legally and, most importantly, safely. Regardless of experience or skill level.

We have a skidpad with instructors specifically for beginners, and we have worked very hard to find a venue where we can run cone-courses so nobody is going to hit anything. Believe it or not, parking lot events are the hardest to pull-off these days.

So if it is your first time, then great! I promise you will learn a lot about drifting in one short day. We have plenty of room and patient instructors to get you pointed in the right direction (sideways, of course).

If you are a veteran, then that's great too. This is the perfect opportunity to try new lines and techniques and find your style without totalling your car the first time you make a mistake.

In either case, I don't know anyone that has come to our public events that did not leave with a smile (well, one guy, but that was his fault and it was a long time ago...).
