I am trying to install a set of front Z32 brakes on my 1995 240sx/se. I am having a problem because when i get the calipers almost tight the rotors lock. I ordered the rotors and calipers off of ebay (which i probably will no longer do) rotors said they were brembo slotted and cross drilled for a 300zx with 30mm calipers. i measured both the calipers and the rotors both measured 30mm as close as i could tell. It would seem to me that the rotors would need to be atleast slightly less than 30mm. also On most calipers I see it says "sumitomo" but on mine its "SE1" Whats the difference and could this be a problem? any help you could give would be awsome. Thanks

MR. H

Get a bigger hammer...
Put rotor on car with 2 lugs to hold it down...tight to hub
then put on caliper...it will be that much easier...

and punxva...you could help this guy out but you put him down...
I see...this must be the awesome community I have been hearing about...someone needs help..tell them to get lost...
Why even post then...Chode!

its not the bolts i checked that, when the rotors lock the bolts aren't touching them.

i would make sure you didn't buy 300zx 26mm calipers.

courtesy of importnut.net:

the gap in a 26mm caliper should be roughly 1 3/16" or 30.2 mm

the gap in a 30mm iron or alum caliper should be roughly 1 3/8" or 35mm
