It's the only thing left up in the air. Parts are sitting ALL AROUND the house, but I'm not in 'go' stage yet, because I don't know what I'm going to do about a dp.

Car: '92 S13 hatch
Manifold: Rev-Hard (hush :P)
Turbo: T3/T04E 50 trim stage 3 wheel, .60 comp, .63 exh
Goal: 230 rwhp by Valentine's Day at 8psi(I had to give myself a deadline, rofl)

My main question: Will SR20 downpipes work with a little bit of modification? If so, what should I pay attention to?

I'll definitely be leaning towards a flex downpipe. I don't own a welder, and all of my 'friends' are a bunch of armchair liberal weiners who get scared when we start talking about changing oil - don't think I'll be able to get a hand from my compadres on this one.

Buy SR and mod (mod = cut off the flange, whatever it is, and get a GT flange welded on) or suck it up and buy a welder and build my own?

i know they will if your using a t2 setup with a bottom mount manifold

I have a similar set up with a peakboost topmount mani. You can use and SR DP but must make and extention off of it to meet your turbo for it to work (Its like the elbow off a factory SR but bigger and longer but the same concept).

^^^ Like he said...you can use a basic SR downpipe, but you HAVE to make a pipe to go from the turbo to the downpipe...it'll be just a simple 90 degree bend, maybe ~12-14" long total.

The hard part might be finding a 3-bolt flange for the SR downpipe...unless you plan to cut the flange off and weld directly to it.

Easy stuff...cut, fit, tack weld, finish weld.

I think I can hammer out a bend. Thanks for the info - think I'll grab a flex DP and go nuts on it.
