Alright, just got my car back from the shop after having a new clutch and a used tranny swapped out. Worked fine for a day, then just stopped working. When I turn the key, the car doesn't even attempt to turn over. Basically, its like trying to start the car without pushing the clutch in.
I did notice that the fluid in the clutch master cylinder was drained, but I still get good, even pressure on the clutch pedal. Dunno if having air in the clutch lines would cause this or not.
I'd appreciate some ideas on stuff that I can check out in case this is a simple fix.
Thanks

First off fill the master CYL and look for leaks...that fluid went somewhere you need to find out where.
Now on to the starting problem...does the rest of the shit in the car work when the ign is on?
are there any sounds when you put it to start (clicks, or anythig?)

Yea, the first thing I did was top up the clutch master cylinder, because I thought maybe the slave cylinder wasn't pushing down on the clutch and thus, wasn't letting my car start. After refilling the master cylinder, the fluid hasn't changed in its levels for over a day while its been sitting in my garage.
Everything else works, the battery seems to be strong, my radio works, all the lights are strong and don't lose power when I try and start it. Basically, the best way I can describe what is going on when I try to turn the key is trying to start the car without pushing down on the clutch pedal. The only sound I get is the click from somewhere in the dash/ignition switch from turning the key.

jumper your clutch interlock switch there is a two pin grey connector under your passenger side relay box with two black wires going into it (one with a white stripe one with a yellow stripe) run a jumper wire from one pin to the other if the car starts you have a bad clutch safety switch...plus this allows you to start the car without having to push in the clutch.

Heh, got it figured out. Found a switch that the clutch pedal pushes against to let the car start. Thought it was weird when I pressed the clutch down and the switch just passed through a hole in the metal plate, so I figured something must'va dropped... sure enough, there was a piece of plastic on the floor. Car starts fine now. =P
