Okay, i have an s13 se coupe and since I bought it nearly a year ago the power door locks haven't worked ... a friend said the acuators were locked up when we were replacing the door locks and I just took his word for it.
Well I ... got some from the junkyard out of another SE and put them in, and it's still not working.
I used some alligator clips to give pos/neg to the acuator and it moves the bar, they are obviously not locked up.
If I put them in, and connect them to the door latch...when i lock the door from the outside/inside it should lock the pass, and at the same token if i unlock from the outside/inside it should do the same, correct?
What other integral parts are there to the system, and if you could give me a quick rundown on how to test those, or where to find it in the service manual (i am missing one pdf file ... and the FSM's have been taken down..so its kind of hard to find, if you explain it..i'd appreciate it.)
Any help is appreciated.

There is a power lock relay by the fuse box in the driver foot well I would check that first IIRC it is labeled on the fuse box map but I am at work so I am not a whole lot of help on this.

Door lock timer is located in the pass. kick panel, behind the ECU.

Tested both actuators .. both will move the door lock rod, but with both in and all connectors connected .. nada ...
What do you test to know if the door lock timer thing, behind the ecu is bad..?
Or is there anything else I need to test?

Well I tested it the way a friend described and nissan has an F wire locking system where a wire has a positive charge to lock, and ground to unlock. To test you cut the F wire and it should lock the doors, upon grounding the wire it should unlock them. Even with that wire cut...it does nothing... So I soldered the wires back together now.
So acuators are good, that unit may be good, but somehow its not currently recieving voltage then...
Is there a relay/fuse/fusable link/aklsdlkashd something?
Anyone able to tell me where, how to locate ... pics would be awesome
thanks for the help so far guys, i'm almost there!!! :P

Have you checked the switches?

switch ... ? Is that the other connector on the acuator? How do you test that?

I'm talking about the lock switch. The button you press to lock and unlock. Not sure exactly how to test it. I guess you can check if it has continuity when you pressing the buttons.

I have an s13, not an s14.
The s13 has the locking mechanism built into the door, when you unlock the door with your key or when you open the door and move the manual switch (god this is gonna be confusing) to lock or unlock it locks the passenger side.
When I say latch I mean a manual switch that you move with your hand ... s13's do not have a button/electrical switch. It is strictly done with the manual locking mechanism.
If you've ever looked at the door with the door panel off, the manual switch is the piece that connects to the rods that literally move the locking mechanism.
I hope that makes sense .....
