Ok. So I have worn synchros and I'm trying to decide what I should do. Since I don't know how to do the work myself I would have to take it somewhere to be worked on. The estimate I got was in the upper teens (around 1700) which is crazy. Is it possible to buy a new KA tranny because buying a used one would involve taking a large gamble. Or is this a good time for an SR swap because with that I will need a new transmission to go with it anyways. If so, what is an SR swap running at at this point in time? If anyone has any advice about what they would do in this situation I would like to hear it. Please dont flame me because I would like to hear some honests answers because I dont know what to do. Thank You
but how owuld i know the one i buy fomr a junkyard isnt all fucked up too?

first welcome to zilvia, where we search for our answers, second, just goto a junkyard and grab a tranny, unless u want to fork over lots of money to rebuild your old one, which as u said your not mechanically inclined would be a waste of money...
