View Full Version : need help switching USDM S13 SR20 wiring to USDM S14

So i just bought a running S13 SR20 blacktop swap that came out of a S13 coupe. I now need to drop it into my 95 S14. I found the guide on cameltowing but the SR plugs shown there are not on my harness. scince the wiring has already been alterd to fit USDM S13, any ideas on what i have to change now to make it work with my USDM S14? how close are the S13 and S14 wiring? Will I also need a tach signal converter to make my stock tach work?

Anyone know the differences in the S13 and S14 plugs?

Do all the wire colors just line up? is it just a simple matter of changing the harness plug?

Not always, depends on which plug it is. I know for the S13 and S14, the chassis electricals are different. There are extra plugs in the S13 that sits behind the passenger side headlights (2nd set of fuse box) that on S14s are relocated under the dash by the ECU.

should i just use the KA S14 sub harness for the tranny ALT and starter?

yes use your ka s14 lower harness on the sr

ya, i did that, o well, i guess ill just figure out the rest of the wiring step by step on my own :yum: thanks everyone for there help :ughd:
