which one would be more cost effective and have the best "bang for the buck"
im thinking about buying a borla muffler and having a local shop make the cat-muff pipe maybe 2.5.
or buying a 500 dollar catback?
any suggestions?

Make sure the shop you go to does mandrel bends. No crushed bends <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/crazy.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=''> They suck!

I personally went w/ the apex'i N1 dual but many have had success w/ a do-it-yourself jobbie. It's all about your budget. At the time I had the budget to get a premade catback but if the budget was tight I would jump all over the DIY system

I suggest going with a profesionally made exhaust, but thats just my choice. It seems like there would be less problems.
