Snap ring,C-ring and wavey in OEM shifter....how?

Does anyone have a pic that shows how the snap ring,c ring and the wavey ring go together on a OEM shifter. Does the snap ring go inside the c ring? Also there is a groove inside the housing, what goes there?

The snap ring snaps into that groove. Squeeze the ring with needle nose pliers and it will snap in.

If I remember correctly. The round thin ring goes down first, than the shifter, and than the snap ring.

OK, so the wavey ring goes on the very bottom, then the plastic housing w/ the shifter.....but there are 2 rings left. One is the snap ring and the other is the c-ring. So if the snap ring goes in the groove then where does the other ring go?

Snap ring in first, second ring on top of it, both in the groove. FSM shows a nice blowup too.
