Ecu Question

I have a 96 240sx se and i think my ecu went bad, i cant seem to find a replacement, does anybody know if an ecu from a 95 se will work? is it the same one?

96 is obd2 95 is obd1, it will work but when inspection time comes around they will not beable to source obd2 codes

Any 95-96 ECU will work, but plugging a good ECU into a possibly bad chassis is just asking for problems. Verify the cause of the 'bad' ECU before you burn another one.

damn i forgot about the smog inspection, the 95 ecu probably wouldnt fly here in california. and thanks r240na the dealer already fixed the problem but not b4 it took out the ecu.
