Hey everyone, I'm in need of some serious help,
So I decided to swap in some 410cc injectors from someone online, and they were just cleaned and flowtested. They appear the same as silvia injectors, except they have no cap on the end. I knew I still needed a lower o-ring on there, so in an extremely dumb act, I put the lower o-rings on with a spacer, without any cap. So I try to start the car (after tuning the safc for the injectors, -34% across the board), it won't start, and every now and then it hesitates cranking. After a couple tries, I decide to pull the fuel pump fuse, drain the pressure by cranking a couple more times, and then I was going to pull out the injectors. Only problem is that after pulling the fuel pump and cranking, the car tried to start (maybe it was originally too rich?), and my friend noticed a puff of smoke from the engine.
So I pulled off the injectors, and the spacers had fallen into the engine. The o-rings were still there, although a couple tried to stay behind. So basically, I have lower spacers in the engine (they are about half the size of the o-rings), and I'm pretty sure it will keep smoking if I try anything. My questions are:
1) Will the spacers just burn up after awhile, or is it dangerous to leave them in the engine? How would I get them out if it is dangerous?
2) What do I do about the new injectors? Should I try to pry the caps off the 370's or 270's? The caps don't want to come off. I don't know how to get them working.
Any help would be great. I was upgrading the injectors to try and put a turbo on this weekend. Thanks
