there is a difference inbetween making a rude comment and making a "dumb" thread or what ever threads get people bad rep. most people wont even want to take the time to read rude thread nor less take the time to give them a bad rep for it just stright out of not caring about it. someone who makes a thread thats trying to be serious and maybe be taken like a joke or misunderstood usually gets read and people take the time to give them bad rep for it being a retarded thread or something stupid. 2 different ball games there all i say is search more before you post if you think its been a topic covered a million times and just dont be a jackass with comments.

Making a thread to complain about it is sure to just earn you more negative rep dude. There are some assholes here -- well they are everywhere really -- that will neg rep for petty reasons. If that bothers you then here are some things you should try, along with what's been said above...

- Search a lot before ever posting. Odds are very good it's been answered, debated or discussed in great depth many times before.
- If it hasn't been, you're not searching hard enough - try again and again...
- If you still can't find what you need, then type up a well-written post asking your question clearly.
- keep doing your own research, and if you find an answer to your problem always come back and update your original post so it helps someone else later on
- If you are reading someone elses post and have knowledge to contribute then do so with good grammar and without flaming
- read more tech threads and less OT threads. OT=opinion=Drama=neg rep. tech=knowledge :P
- If zilvia has helped you, even once, solve a problem with your car or find a part you needed, donate the measly $10 dollars to become a premium member. It's worth it and it'll make this a better place.

Do those and you'll be earning better rep in no time.
