Okay I'm ready to do my first mod on my 96' 240. I would like to take out the air silencer (or resonator) which is located under the stock airbox. Can someone please give me a detailed desription on how to do so? Help a newbie out

Its so simple...just remove the plastic wheel well liner, (steer to the complete right to give yourself room), you should see the attatching bolts clearly. They are all 10mm nuts. Just keep undoing the bolts until it comes loose. Then disconnect it from the Y pipe. done

what can i use to plug the hole where the resonator was at before? I don't want any debris getting in there from the hole.

dont worry, nothings gonna get in there. Even if it does, it not going to go anywhere, theres a fat filter in the box . If you want, you can get some screen door mesh, and wrap it around the pipe then secure it with a rubber band. But i wouldnt go thru the trouble, just drive it as it is.
